Don't put the horse before the wagon!! BYU has talent, but their weakness in previous years is that they start off strong and fade as the season goes on. BYU really needs to work hard on improving their game as the season progresses. This is one thing Utah has been able to do very well and it shows in their Bowl success.

Sad but true. They are the Jazz all over again, good, but not the best. Also they choke under pressure.
ya seriously, that would be a sucky game. BYU still needs some speed to take the next step like utah.
Their speed and defense is legit, just need to keep Max Hall from choking. He had some moments during the OU game where he almost fell apart....

What, didn't think I pay attention to football?? I can even tell BYU how to beat Utah (would have worked last year too). Shove Unga down their throat about 40 times a game!! Utes can't stop big backs.

this byu team is different. there will be no letdown.
those who think max hall has a problem with "choking" are quick to forget the 2007 utah game. the final drive in the OU game was hardly choking either.
next up, FSU. you better believe the team will be ready and the stadium in provo will be rockin with some hungry fans. look for max hall to tear up the "fast" FSU secondary.

i'm not saying national championship. if they go undefeated(tall order, tcu will be good and regardless if the utes are good or not they show up for that game) they might have a shot at getting into the championship game. could they beat florida? i don't think so but i didn't think they could beat OU either.
anyways, college football is great(much better than the NFL imo) and a great way to pass the time before winter.

Could a Mountain West team beat Florida, absolutely!! Not sure why everyone puts Florida on a pedestal. Yes, they are great, but everyone can get beat!! Utah not only beat a very good Alabama team , but they owned them!!
Watch out for Boise State, they look very good this year as well!!

boise beat up on a oregon team that looks pretty bad. we'll see how the rest of oregon's season unfolds.
i'm not saying a mwc team couldn't beat florida or any other big school, but the odds are against them. i didn't count the utes out last year and was rooting for them and stoked as hell when they won.(as any reasonable byu fan should have)
and yeah, the only way byu gets into the title game(if they go undefeated) would be every team from the big ten, big 12, and sec having one loss. and maybe not even then.

I love my Utes, but this is a 9-3 year for us. We will continue to win, it wont be pretty but its still a W... The Cougs will go 10-2 (losing to TCU and the U), and TCU will run the table... they are hungry and humble and have a chip on their shoulder... they want to prove to the nation they can play...
