burn out at a high school... Am i in trouble?

thisthreadisworthless.gif

Thinking back when i was in 7th grade (1976) a senior named Joey Myers had a 70ish green nova, that he built the snot out of. Well every and I mean every morning as I was walking up the school steps he would slide the corner and just tear up the street, open headers, tires squeelin and would be going mach 3 by the time he passed the school. He looked kindof like jusus and drove like John Force. Well one day the driver's ed teacher had a state trooper talk to the class about safety..., ect, he happen to exit the school as ole Joey was redlining up the hill. Needless to say the trooper wasn't impressed and Joey got a reckless driving ticket and a huge *** rippin.

Say nothing!

Been there done that.......Had a brand new 86 IROC in high school, chick magnet.......Anyway........you know what...if they come to you.........Admit you were wrong (big points), tell them you have asked your mature sleddin buddies, and they say, "I am young, stupid and will make mistakes,,,however, I realize this is not appropriate behaviour and will do my very best to correct my issues and behave in the future".......Nobody got killed and you ain't dealing drugs.........Trust me, with all the times I have been pulled over and just admitted I am totally at fault, they seem to get it.,........Oh ya, it doesn't hurt to have a hot Russian blonde with ya............!

DO the exact opposite of that! Dont even talk to the cop if he tries to contact you, politely ask if your being charged with a crime, as for his card and say you'll have your lawyer call him and have a nice day. NO NEED TO SAY ANYTHING! All your doing is incriminating yourself!!

I don't see how i could have destroyed anything? At most i hurt 2 yellow parking spot lines and i didn't speed. I was only going 10 or 15, my tires might have been doing about 55 though:D

I plan to deny everything and tell them to proove it was me.

Someone else has probably already said this but posting about it on a public forum on the internet is probably not the smartest thing.

You are not going to get in trouble. Really, no one is going to waste time with this as it's just a tactic to get you scared. Trust me, I had stuff like this all through my growing up years. Small stuff never amounts to anything!

You won't get reckless unless there was people around that could have been injured. At least you better hope not, cause here in Iowa you goto jail for reckless. I've had a few excessive rotation tickets in my younger days, take it like a man and hang that ticket on the fridge!!!

I'd say deny it was you unless your school has camera's all over like mine did.. but other than that dont stress about it, id say practice somewhere else though

You have got to be kidding.....and still single.

Most cops I know would chew on your butt a little bit to please school and then send you on your way.

^^^ Yup, I doubt you would actually get in trouble by the cops for that, besides if it was in the school parking lot, then its owned by the school so its hard for the cops to do anything about it.

Funny story...I did a couple brodies in the wet parking lot at school in my toyota with a spooled rear end on a Friday, then on Monday I was shown a video of it from the cameras, but you couldnt see my face and I did a complete body swap over during the weekend so it went from a beat up blue toyota pickup to a nice black one with a flatbed so they couldnt proove anything.

Easy. Mechancial failure. You have been having problems with your throttle sticking and it stuck wide open causing the tires to spin. Luckily no one was hurt or killed.

Dude, who cares? Deny it...what are they going to do? Bring in the CSI team to do a rubber match up? I wouldn't change my tires or my shorts.

I did that one time 250'+ got 2 reckless indangerment tiks and one reckless driving and i did it in front of a cop  but in court he could not prove that i did it that night i put on new tiers and rims and drove 1000mils to age thim back dateed a reseet

ditto on the "don't say anything" reply. been there done all that an more, then even more :D. If it does get to the point to where you think you might be in trouble, get a lawyer. Like most have stated, they (cops, school officials) are prob. just going to try to scare you into confessing because your young- don't let em!

here is a silly idea - if you knew about the local laws governing driving behavior, then stand up like a man and take your punishment.

I have absolutley no problem with what you did but, unfortunatley, I don't write the local laws. You have to answer to them.

Oh give the kid a break. He did a burn out. Big deal. Not like any of us have ever done anything like this. I know when driving my chevelle that i have never pulled out of a stop light with my tires spinning excessively. Not the sarcasm in my last sentance.

Nice burnout. Be a little more careful from now on when you do them. You will find some cops will scare you, others on power trips will try and intimidate you. Like stated above, if you get a ticket, it goes on the fridge. Otherwise dont sweat about it.

As far as growing up. Read my sig.
