Bumper thread

Got stuck this weekend and I will say the TCP/WRP front bumper is great for lifting in the front. The side bars make it so easy to lift and pull around. Much stronger than I would expect.

You would NOT armbar that bumper, but...I heard getting the panels open or closed with that bumper is a beeyatch...

I am going to put the cat bumper on. I took off the stock one and it appears that the rear bolt really needs to have something in that hole to tie it all in back there. What are you doing with that hole??

I am guessing the rest of it you are just using rivets to hold it on.....

Thanks

My bumper worked yesterday, TB Racing, basically the standard larger one. I have no idea how I hit the tree.

MMSports-- do you have a final picture of production bumper?

As others have stated, I'm looking for a tie in to bulkhead-- like you have-- but also for wider "wings" the narrow cut down design you showed leaves too much vulnerability for me...

I'm looking to order two bumpers on Monday. Either yours or the VEI.

Are yours ready to ship?

Thanks,
Murph

I'm in the same boat too. Either the MM bumper or VEI's. I'd like to see a production bumper from MM before I make up my mind because I really like the front support and bulkhead tie in of theirs.

MM (Kevin)...

I agree with Murph and others above... I'd like to see the "wings" further out on the bumper... and farther away from the body.

Keep up the good work!

Another vote for the same. Extending the wings or sides out creates more area to deflect off of and protect more of the side panel as well as creating more area to grab onto.

So we decided to do both slim and wide bumpers . I have 2 raw narrow in right now the weight 1lb 10 oz light but strong with three mounting points.

Do not buy the Polaris Extreme front bumper! I Bumped (very lightly) a tree with the corner of the bumper and it broke. They are extremely thin aluminum and do not have any bracing in them.

I've been preaching this for a year now. I bought one for each of my sleds and both were completely destroyed with 1 light hit to a tree. I now have skins bumpers on both and was very happy with the one I had on my Dragon.

Arctic Cat 153" Bumper on my 163....nice added support down the sides of tunnel compared to stock (and it came in black for one year on the 2010 Limited model)

The Rat Sled Front Bumper from Steve Brandt in Canada.....does some quality work. It weighs 4 pounds - the stock bumper weighs 1.5 pounds.

This is what I have on my sled, love it. Doesn't show this one on his website anymore???

bumper

What till you tap something. Its like the rear bumpers shouldn't you at least be able to pull a tube ?
