Bought a Summit after 15 years of Polaris

Well vacation is over and I did get to play in some powder, mostly in the trees. I made the limiter strap adjustment and that made a huge difference. I set the ski to the narrower stance and that helped a bit.

I was trying to make one change at a time so I could understand what effect it has. Next I will adjust the rear suspension and tilt the riser back some, right now it is actually forward of straight up.

One thing I have noticed is the RPM seems to hunt around a lot more than I am use to. The 900 didn't vary much 100-maybe 200 at full throttle. The XP will hunt around up to 300 or a bit more RPM. I had the dealer do the 10 hour inspection and they looked at the clutches to make sure everything was good. I guess I just need some good powder and some more time on it.

Happy overall so far, thanks for the help everyone.

Thanks,
Jeff

if you want it to really feel light in the front end drop your front shid mount like 7/8" in tunnel and let your limiter out al the way now it feels like a normal sled, also mine should not be to bad climbing because i have th hard rear spring which doesnt let the back collapse very easy so it shouldnt wheelie too bad or any worse than before, i dont really care for steep ill climbing anyway but boondocking more so ill take the manouverability over the other drawbacks first. my .02
