Did you put both the mtntk kit and the reflash on at the same time? Or did you change just the reflash and noticed a difference from that?

Thanks,

No we put the mtntk kit on first rode it for a year and a half then had this reflash done. It really woke the sled up after the flash. Very snappy and pulls hard.

Feedback

So, after a couple months on the snow....... Anyone have any more feedback on this reflash, what are you likes, dislikes, did you have to add any weight in the primary, any DET???? Thinking about sending Boston Racing my ECU this summer to do this reflash.

Same here, worth the $$?

I pm'd Corey a couple weeks ago about price and such and he got back to me. Then I asked how he wanted payment and where to ship to and haven't heard back from him.

i talked to corey on tuesday and asked if his reflash left pecker tracks on the ecm incase i would needed it flashed back to stock for warrenty work and he said "no they would not be able to tell". im goin to togwotee next weekend for the forum ride and on tues when we get back im sending mine out to him. were goin to cooke on the 7th of march so if no one says anthing by then, i will have a "real world" report

To say that it cannot be traced is inaccurate. While it may be true that a tech in the shop wont notice or be able to tell, every time the ecm is reflashed the checksum is changed, thereby leaving a footprint. This may or may not be of concern, but you can bet that if polaris decided to dig they WOULD find that the checksum doesnt match any of the accepted values and most likely void your warranty. If it concerns you, buy a spare ecm and have it flashed, then if you need warranty work, swap the stock one back in. That is untill they figure that workaround out too...

dont shoot the messenger, i dont have the fogiest of an idea about computer stuff, all im sayn is, from the horses mouth, he said no it wont show

Im not raggin on you at all, man, no worries. I am not familiar with polaris' digital wrench at all, and the case could very well be that it does not have the ability to go as deep as to check the checksum values, therefore a technition at a dealership would likely never know. However if for some other reason your warranty was flagged and the polaris engineers went to digging deeper into the ecm they would have no trouble finding it.

We go through this with people wanting to tune their duramax trucks and not void the warranty, however GM knows every trick by now, so even using a separate ecm wont work as the mileage of the vehicle is stored in 3 different systems. So when the mileage stored in the ecm is less than that stored in the tcm and bcm they start questioning the claims validity. Even piggybacks like the edge juice leave a footprint in the bosch ecms GM is using now, in the form of excessive requested torque values.

Plus, the more people try to screw the manufacturer out of warranty with illegitimate claims, the more they are going to crack down and the more legitimate claims are going to be denied.

i hear what your sayn, i have efilive in my dmax and know what thats like with warenty stuff, good thing i have a awesome dealer. as little as i know about computers, didgital wrenches or checksum whatchamacallits, but it just seems to me "they" could find some sorth of pekker tracks on something, but what do i know. im not doubting boston racing when he says whats what, hell he would know, hes doin it, but i still would like to try the ecm flash thingy out

I have been around a long time and believe I have an excellent reputation. It seems fishy a guy who has been on SW for 2 months with 9 posts would come on here and say anything like that...:face-icon-small-con

I'm happy you have been around for along time. And yes I just joined a couple months ago. I wanted to expand and learn more than what's just on hardcore sledder. Just because im new doesn't mean I cant think its fishy you have one guy with real world results.. Your already making it easy for someone to not buy your product that you claim works so much better. If I had a company of my own I sure would have results for people to see that my product works and is better. You've had what 8 months now and still haven't put a sled on a dyno or posted any real world results for us. Maybe you should make it easier for us noobs and post in your posts that you've been around for along time and that we should just trust you.
