Boostn M7's

After buyin boosted M7 guys saying they can't handle boost. Any truth to this? And guys that are runnin, what are you boostn to? Thanks in advance guys

They handle boost just fine. The M7 has an less sophisticated electrical system, or less advanced, than the M8 and required a capacitor. We ran them up to 14-16lbs of boost on straight race gas. I run mine at 10-12lbs most of the time and she rips just fine. The 7 has a weak bottom end that is exaggerated by the turbo.

I think that it is less the fact that the M7 was a "bad" turboed sled and more of the fact that the M8 is such a "great" turboed sled.

X2

Mine ran hard on the top, but trying to clutch around that bottom end gave me headache!!!! Also no det sensor means not much room for error....Always run good gas with TM7 straight race is a must @ any decent boost #, pulling compression and losing anything on the bottom is not acceptable. I speeeeakky from experiance. Put good gas in it, keep an eye on things, and smoke your buddies with your little ole 700:face-icon-small-hap

I know your friends like to just go all day, with little time to tinker or adjust. After thinking about it, I would run that thing at 6-7 lbs. of boost on av gas. It will be MORE FORGIVING when things are off a little on the fuel mixture while you're learning the do's and dont's. (Like DON'T run too low on gas and hold it boosted, watch your guages, and if they're off, STOP and fix it.) AT THAT BOOST LEVEL SHE'LL STILL PERFORM PRETTY DAMN GOOD.Wish I still had that sled, I'm getting another M7 turbo though. :face-icon-small-hap
