Blue Mountains 2011/2012

Observations

Hearing the friendly banter between Plumnuts and CB.8 I have decided that I an nowhere close to having the BS that the two of you have going!

rode out of cloverland today, not a bad ride for what it is. marker showed 3 feet as stated above. lack of snow down low, and icy, but good days ride to start the new year

Was up there riding Saturday, turned out to be a pretty decent day. Saw CB8and Plum up there, next time I'll have to introduce myslef if I see you since your posting on here all the time. Was on a blue/black stock XP out a Misery.

Just to clarify that I was the one on the almost stock orange cat.:deadhorse:

Next time definitely introduce yourself. i am awful hard to miss in orange.

Well we rode out of Coverland again today and it didn't suck much at all. All the cats made it in under their own power. Icy and hard until you get with in a couple of miles from the cabin then crust to soft depending on the exposure.

So far the this year I laid first tracks out of Rays, the A run, JR, and the tailbone. And I could argue maybe the B run. My M8 is has a serious problem. The skis won't stay on the ground! Now I want a turbo.

Blues

Jan 7th went to the blues with my daughter Alia and her husband Brian Scoggin and his dad Max. Also Jake Hill (also son-in-law) and his dad Tom Hill from Lewiston rode with us. As everyone knows, snow in the lower elevations pretty much sucks.

After a 5-year absence in riding, I dont care what the snow conditions were or the opinions of what the best sled is -its great to be riding again.

Wifey and I rode out of Cloverland... Hardpack to about 5700 feet elevation... everything is tracked up... trails are rough. BUT it was sunshine and cold... and on the mountains (much better than watching one ball sports on TV)... a couple of pics and a video... I am still SORE!!

Hamburgers are being sold at the Misery Cabin:face-icon-small-ton

Doesn't it suck being the photographer for the group. It never looks like you did anything all day long.
Glad to see Janet back out on the snow. I assume that they were stashed safely in here backpack.:jaw:
Rumor has is that both Doos suffered from some mechanical failures.

What is the date for their bucket run? I would try to make it this year since I missed it the last couple years and last year was during the vintage run if I remember.
