......It's still SNOWING !!!
" ULAR " is really out doing Himself Today !
AVALANCHE DANGER....
ALPINE.....MODERATE
TREELINE.....LOW
BELOW TREELINE.....LOW
I Expect that to Change quickly as We have had ALOT of Snow Fall in the last 24 Hours.
And it is still Snowing !!
LOOK UP for Cornices....and .....LOOK DOWN for Terrain Traps
Keep your EYES and EARS OPEN !!
Remember To also listen for Rumbling and Whomping !!!
If a Special Bullitin comes in I will Post right away !
Play Safe out there !

blue jewel is the house you guys own next to the old church that you renovated into the holy smoke inn by chance the old rcmp office.if it is i lived in that house in the early 80's, i can still remember the massive dumps of snow.maybe return sometime for some sledding. sure going to be alot of memories....

We went to Dawson City Yukon in 1999 ....and Stoped in Stewart and Camped there at the Camp Ground .....
Is that Your Dad ??? if so I met Him then and YES !!! POW-WOW knows Him ....Cool !!

Hey Everyone !!
Weelllll ALL the Sledders in Blue River were treated to a Lasagna Dinner at the Legion put on By Ladies Auxilery !! Fantastic Job !!
The Legion also put on the Fight for all the Guests !
The Boys staying at the Hloy Smoke Inn were spoiled as I put the fight on for them at The Holy Smoke .
Our Massage Girl was doing Massages for the ALL !! ahhhhh ....Those tight Muscles were loosend up for the next day of riding !
Does not matter where You are Staying in Town ....Just give Us a call and We can book You a Massage right here if you would like !!
Its TRUE ....She Quit the Local Heli Ski Company here and is now ....
Working for ALL Sledders !! Yahooooooo

Hey Blue Jewel...Finally got a chance to sit down & thank-you for an awesome time. Shelly out did herself with the food. I really hope we can get back there this year yet. We have some other friends that are interested in checking out BLUE RIVER snow...I think they were a little jealous when we told them about all the fresh powder we found. Chow for now, Marylyn.

They arrived in Blue River on a Sunday .....Prayed to " ULAR " and whala !
They had Fresh Powder... and it felt like they had IT ALL to themselves !
Riding through the Week is Great Planning !
Shelley is one AWESOME Chef !!
We Thank Our Lucky Stars Everyday for Her !!!

Well as of Tonight they are Calling for another 10-15 cms. of Fresh Snow Tonight !!
To Date Blue River has received 15 Feet Accumulated Snow in Town soooo far !!
They are Calling for Snow most of the Week and Sunny Sky's for the Weekend
It sure has been a GREAT Season so far !

The Message from the Snow Pack is Clear - the January 26 weaknesses have reached a Critical State, and are Primed to Avalanche BIG !!
Danger Levels are Forecast to Rise Rapidly, with New Snow, Rising Temp.'s , and Winds resulting in Stress on the Snowpack, and Settlement of the Upper Pack into a Cohesive Slab.
Be Aware these Conditions will Exist in Large Opening's, Below Treeline , such as " CUTBLOCKS "
Forecast of Avalanche Danger....

We are Expecting ALL that Fresh Snow sooooo when the Storm has passed....

We are getting DUMPED ON !! EXCELLENT !!....
My Windows are Buried Now !!
The Dog Sleeps on the ROOF ....When He is not Walking OVER it !! LOL...
The Snowflakes are the Size of Pancakes at Times !!
We are hitting close to 30 cms. and it is Still... Pumping down HARD !!
It is ABSOULUTLY Beautiful......as long as You Don;t have to Drive in it !!
REMEMBER !!!.....These are " WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS "
Take it Slow ...as You go...
Try and Drive ..." SMOOTH " .....NO Jerking to Pull out and Pass....Keep it Smooth and Easy...
WATCH for the " ELEVATED CORNERS " WOW....If You are not Paying Attention
Whoa...You could end up OVER the Bank .....Its a LOOOONG Way Down !!
They are Plowing and Sanding ....as soon as it is Warm enough ( -6 to -5 C ) They will start Salting .
They Put out " HOT " Loads as the Snow is Coming Down Heavy Mixed Salt & Sand then They have a Base to Work with .
The System that is Upon Us is Commonly Reffered to as ..." The Pineapple Express "
Lot's of Precipitation and Tempatures are Warming Up !
WOW .....AS WE Speak I Just received a Call and it is ALREADY -2 Out there !!!
They will be Bringing out the Pink Stuff for the Road right away !!
