It's finally snowing. Got a couple inches last night, and thier calling for 5 to 10 inches in the lower elevations. It's about time!!! Looks like snow just about every day in the 10 day forecast.

Up here at Snowshoe we are gettin it...... hard to say at this time about exact amounts of snowfall as the wind is blowing crazy like but at times it is hard to see the shop or the gate. Later today I will let you know what kind of accumulations we end up with!

Is it snowing hard or just a ground blizzard?
At times the wind blows like HE@@ but when the wind isnt blowing you can look out and see it is snowing heavy.....We are guessing 8-12 inches here now but it is real hard to tell. If it ever lets up Jason wants to go out and see whats really there but when the wind picks up you cant see the shop or the gate from the lodge....

I love it maybe we will have to skip work tomorrow if the highway opens up! Is it still snowing? Its coming down pretty good in Sheridan.Still coming down..........
We are coming up Thursday! I hope it keeps snowing like mad!
Still snowing, all roads are closed, big drifts all over. Kind of hard to tell amount but looking pretty good, it's about time.
Had a group of three guys go poking around just a bit to see what is really falling and what is blowing ...that said....sheltered areas are looking like 6-8 inches but on the trails where the wind is blowing there are drifts over the hoods.......it is still snow and blowing now so if this keeps up by morning it should be awesome....They did not go far from the lodge as visibility is not good at all!

Quit snowing, roads still closed from wind. Buffalo side over Powder River Pass didn't even close so I'm thinking the Sheridan side [Burgess Junction] probably got more snow. There still closed over us 14.
I went and poked around a little bit and found that there wasnt nearly as much snow as wind.......blew hard.......maybe 6-12 inches but super hard to tell as it is blew bare in some place and huge drifts in others.........
Snotel report says Powder River Pass got 7.1 inches. Burgess Junction got 7.4 inches. Clouding up again looking like we might get more.
