Best year for the 700 RAW?

Congrats, like stated above if you get that thing clutched good you will soon forget about the 900. That 700 will go more places easier than the 900 will, it will be a funner more forgiving sled to ride. Oh by the way you wont be near as tired at the end of the day either. Darn nice buggy, see you on the hill.

Thanks Guys:beer;

I am looking forward to taking it for the first ride.... No plans to park the 900 anytime soon... it still makes real nice power despite it's 4K+ miles:D

I picked it up from a guy on here for $6500

$6.5K is fair price. I have the same sled with electric start and 235 miles and have been dreaming on the pro and thinking market price might be $6.8K. Yours couldn't be cleaner though.

I was looking it over the other day and noticed it has an all black primary spring labeled 140/330.... I checked it against the black/green I use in my 900 and it is labeled 120/340... I suppose that is why I was noticing the higher than expected engagement.

I can't wait to get this thing out and see how the clutching feels.:face-icon-small-hap

Just an FYI here's SLP's dyno charts for the 777 and the 800 CFI4 stage 4 kit (look real close to the mid range HP numbers):

Do you happen to have, or know where to find, a dyno chart for the regular 700 HO SLP pipe/can combo?.... I don't want to go crazy but may consider that little addition.

I'll have to get a 42 tooth gear on order... forgot that on the last parts order

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I really appreciate all the info on this:beer;

Send a PM to Dustin Pancheri, he might be able to help you out. I got those 2 charts from the SLP website in the respective item page.

Well Law ME !!! Nice Sled !!

I personaly feel the 700 IQ's are exceptional sleds. If I'd had a 700 instead of the 600, I wouldn't have ever bought new. Great Job !

So when do you want to get together and take those overload springs off the old Ford Truck? You sure won't be needing them anymore !! :face-icon-small-win

Better keep it away from SnoDawg too, he'll have it all Wrapped up . . . and it doesn't need it, it's beautiful just like that.

COM ON SNOW !!!!!

If you want it to go faster, put some 600 stickers on it. You'll get nothing but compliments on what it will do for being a "600". :face-icon-small-win

Biggest reason I didn't wrap my sled, I like advertising it's a 700.:face-icon-small-win Plus i couldn't find a wrap I really liked to go with my black/red minimalist theme.

Well my second round of parts came in including my new full-feature MFD gauge.:D I got the gauge on and it was a perfect swap with the old one... just remove the stock basic MFD and replace it with the deluxe MFD and you have dual gauges and a clock too, lol:cool: Being a new gauge, the Mileage and Hours are both starting back from 0, but the sled is so new you'd never know it wasn't original looking at it! lol

I just ordered the factory gauge that came on my 05 900.... perfect plug and play:D:D:D

May have to think about the new MFD - a real tach would be nice. Was the gauge PN: 2410375? Did you buy the "band-mounting" thing as well?

Yup, that is the exact part number... and no, you do NOT need anything else besides the gauge... it's a direct replacement!

I decided to pull the headlight assembly so I had more room to get at one of the screws near the right side of the gauge - which was not a big deal and I am very glad I did...

Cool sled Seth. Don't be surprised if the old 9 starts sitting.....alot.

One thing though, I've been waiting for Kraven to chime in with his infamous "check out my tech tips thread" LOL...

I would make a couple recommendations. 1st thing I would do is turn up the oiler cable to run a ratio close to 32:1. 2nd thing is I would add an extra ground strap from the chassis ground to the rear motor mount. 3rd thing I would do is replace the fuel filter (I know it only has 100 miles on it.) Supposedly there is now a much cheaper aftermarket fuel filter from SPI available from WPS. 4th thing I would do is remove the air box and gorilla tape the seams. You would be shocked at how much belt dust gets into the t-bodies and reeds. And I would second Eric's rec of siliconing the head light and adding intake vents. If you stick a flashlight in the air plenum, you will see alot of daylight in alot of areas.

The Carls helix for the 700's is a very good addition. The SLP pipe kit (2nd edition for the 700) is a real performer. The first one was okay but the newer one they came out with a couple of years ago really works. A power commander would also be a very wise investment.
