Hey guys looking for the best way to fix a small crack in a Mseries hood. Probs about 2inchs. Previous owner looks like he tryed to melt the hood back into its self but it didn't work? Is it worth fixing?

No matter how you repair it you should drill a small 1/8" dia hole in the end of the crack to keep it from spreading. Eric

ditto on the zip ties and drilling a hole. ive done it in the past and also did it to my windshield too. looks kinda cool imo

yup! That is the best thing to do. I also used heavy gauge stainless steel wire instead of zip ties. Zips tend to break with exposure where stainless won't ever degrade... Plus you can call it your extra "bling" is you are like some guys on here and have millions of zip ties holding their hood together!

:)

THX ya i was looking for something like the above there.. DOnt wanna wire it up. Ill give one of them a try, any one use bondo or anything to take out the inperfections?

Looks like a place in Salt Lake has figured out how to weld them. I have not picked up my M-hood yet, but they say they have got it done. The price sounded right too.
