Best Tires for Heavy Duty Trucks

i've ran em all. the nitto is a good quiet tire, but the a/t is not worth a crap in mud. u gotta spin em too hard to keep em cleanin. great highway and winter tire though. the m/t is a great tire, but didn't get very many miles on em. the good year mt's are good in all conditions, but also too soft. i didn't get enough miles out of em. the best all round i've found is the toyo m/t's. i've got a f-350 with 110 gallon slip tank in the back. i don't pull a trailer a lot, but travel at higher speeds than most. i run 55 psi in the front and 50 psi in the back. u'll get great response in all conditions with the toyo m/t and good milage if U ROTATE THEM REGULARILY!! i do mine every oil change. got 55k miles on the last set. if u don't rotate they'll get loud too. definately the best bang for your buck imo.

TOYO M/T's

yes , that's what I forgot to mention is that I rotate every oil change - That's why they still look good with 35,000 miles on them

Having ran Toyo A/T's, M/T's, and BFG M/T's and A/T's in the snow I would say that on hard packed snow the BFG A/T is a really good tire. I run them on my Excursion and they are one of the best all around tires I've ever ran.

In the nasty crappy heavy snow the Toyo Mud Terrains kick arse though. I just got crappy wear and they rounded out. I have no idea maybe its cus I tow a lot? They were rotated every 5k mile???

Going to try a set of the new BFG M/T's on the new truck and see how they do.

toyo's

I run toyo a/t's on my chevy all year long and make sure you get them siped and they will work great in all conditions. I am at 40k now and they still look good, I got the e-rated and they don't ride as nice as a lower rating but a lot more tire for towing. :o:beer;

I run the 295/17 toyo M/T's on my dodge, they have held up well so far, and have a good load rating. I probably have 25,000 on them, but I also Run Studded and siped Buckshot Mudders in the winter. The buck shot haven't help up as well as the M/t but they have around 20,000 or more on them. I also tow more with them and the gravel MT puts on the road probably doesn't help tire wear.

Chalk up another vote for the BFG AT KO's ...

These Nitto Terra Grapplers I am running now aren't too bad, but they aren't as good as the BFG's were ... I've run just about every kind of A/T tire there is and I still think those BFG's are the best.
