Belt drive kit for 11 and 12's

Robbie,

Any Plans to make a belt-drive-specific D&R case with less weight... "skinny up" the un-needed parts that accommodate the chain stuff?

.

As an Idea... what do you charge these service parts in your current SkiDoo kits?
Replacement belt N/A for 2013
Replancment bottom sprocket Will depend on tooling but about $300 curently
Replacement top sprocket Will depend on tooling but about $130 curently
Tensioner pulley Aproximatly $350

What I meant was... What do YOU charge for replacement belts for your Belt-Drive kits so that customers can understand the cost of having a spare on hand for your kit??

Thank you for your detailed reply (above)

Belt drive

Anything is possible. I don't think that it would save over .5 pounds. I'm thinking about a cover for the bottom. The bottom sproket is kind of in the blood, mud and beer without one.

I was also thinking of machining all the unnecessary leftover on the stock chain case,

What is the ratio of the belt drive compared to stock gearing. Is it roughly the same or a little lower. Sorry if I missed this in earlier posts, read through quickly and didnt see anything on it.

For the guys with theirs on the scale... Add 8 oz of oil weight to that weight savings number as well.

thanks for the info C-3, my source had said standard sizing from what he was told..complicates life with them doing a custon pitch.....any chance you will make different pulleys for the stock poo setup so a guy could change gearing if he wanted too?(say taking 1 tooth off the top and adding 1 tooth on the lower to use the same belt)

I am working on this so we will see in sept if it is going to work

Stock ratio on a RMK is 2.10:1 and my closest one is 2.12:1 and I have ratios available from 2.30 - 1.63

Belt drive kits for 11 and 12's

Here's a picture of a belt drive for Avid's extended chaincase. I will be installing mine in August.

So do you have to buy the extended chaincse and then convert it to belt drive? That's spendy$$$

how else would you get it? pretty sure nobody offers a stock chain case drop n roll.....cant really relocate the upper shaft. hence the longer chain case......UNLESS WAIT WAIT! you talkin about C3 doing their own longer "belt" drive with relocated lower shaft??

C3! better get on it! new product for ya???

Belt drive drop and roll kit. I'd buy one. I agree having to buy an avid chaincase then the belt drive is a little spendy

C3 drop and roll

C3 and Avid are offering the SyncroDrive kit and Avid extended case minus the cover as a kit so it is a little less costly. Check out www.c3powersports.com if in Canada or call Avid if in the US.
C3 could make a drop and roll kit but it would consist of the same parts as the Avid kit and probably cost the same, more if I made them in carbon. The only thing that could be done on the Avid case is to eliminate some of the machining that is not required for the SyncroDrive kit but that probably would not change the price by that much. Robbie feel free to add any thoughts.

If you want longer paddles and more track efficiency you have to pay for drop and roll.

C3 SyncroDrive Introductory Pricing

Just wanted to remind everyone that SyncroDrive kits are on introductory pricing of $875 till Aug and then they go up to $950. I have the Pro/Rush kits available as well as Edge, IQ.

If you want to keep the stock ratio or use 7 tooth drivers to lower it looks like the stock 2013 Polaris Quickdrive will also be an option for around $750

Re uses your 2011/12 driveshaft.

Also, you would need to buy the Lord 406/19GB adhesive and applicator for proper installation as it is not included in the kit.

Just got the word from " Freeagent " (Michelle) on the forums here..

Gotta luv the price!!

So if you went with the '13 quickdrive on a '11/'12 pro then it would be permanent since it requires you to use the Lords adhesive? Never used the stuff before...
