Honestly, as long as it is not Utah beer I will drink it.
Because I live in Utah, I much prefer Jim and coke... I can mix it as stiff as I want.
Utah beer makes you pee and tastes like water... Then once you get a buzz, you have drank so much you know you will be hanging.

These beers are all great beers (had them all - love them), but if you really wanna chew you need an IPA, a stout, or a porter. I prefer an IPA with strong hop finish.


MAG - take the fruit out of your beer man.

agreed....if you need fruit your killing the beer.

Or if you want fruity type beer try a nice Lambic, and then buy another and cellar it.

yes there is.

I view "piss beers" or american macro lager as it's own style of beer made in many different ways. Say Bud and Hamms, both macro lagers, both different. Much like a hacken pschor wheat and a erdinger wheat, both wheat, both different.

So my beers,

Bud, Hamms, Schmidt, Grainbelt Premium, Mickeys, etc.

Then Schells Oktoberfest, Amberbock, many of the Rouges, in fact I'm holding onto a bottle of 10 Thousand Fist Ale, should be mighty fun when it's cracked(all ready 2 or 3 years old).

Not a huge IPA fan as I do no like the current push for very hoppy beers(i know I'm aging a 10k fist). I did try 2 degrees Below(i think that's the name) any ways it's the winter beer by the Fat Tire guys(i don't care for that). I expected a nice hearty robust darker beer, what I got was the perfect hop taste for me, vs IPAs.

Also enjoy Lambics, very fun to age those for a year or 2 and see what happens.

Of course with a wife and almost 3 kids I don't get to sample as much as I'd like so in the summer it's macros and winter I enjoy the darker worlds of heavy beer in heavy mugs.

oh and not to be a-holish, but that kind of thought is like joining the wine snobs(or the dick holes on beeradvocate.com) who get all uppity over their beverages....chit it's all beer, enjoy it for what it is.
