Baker saturday!

Studder bumps...9.3 miles each way! Terrible.

We were able to make it up to Baker on Friday, and freshie everywhere. Up at Big House, the powder was 15" to 20" deep. It then decided to settle a few hours later.

Trying out my 08 XP, I blew up a 377 belt after 46 miles. I got my dealer to warranty that one today. They told me I will need to take back my sled this week so they can adjust clutching.

They set up my sled with a clutch setting of "3" and told me I might need to set it to 2 if I have problems. I was only getting 7600 rpm's MAX, so after changing it to 4, I got all 8100 rpm's. Nice.

Was up Friday (sorry about all the tracks, Saturday peeps...not). Snow was fast and fun. Rode w/Papa Bear and Ruffryder, and met Soccerd6 and Powder Head for a few hours too. The sky's parted in the afternoon and we rode until we were out of gas (the machines too...tow ropes are GOOD)...

Well, it wasn't no 15" + deep, but it was great snow no doubt. Pic's near Skate park; Ruffy and Papa Bear in the air..

We shot alot of video (Thanks Ruffryder) and I'm excited to see any of it. It was good times, hardly anyone riding any of the areas, beautiful weather. No doubt, the clear skys of today (Saturday) were to die for, but we got the snow!!!

2 pix from Friday, an "oops" pix from Saturday

thx for the good ride on Friday, boys....

the pix from today was me, offa 6 ft berm into a deep creek opening - Note to self - be carefull when you're trying to avoid the bumpy trail....... if I was MC2STROKE I woulda just pinned it and jumped right over that damn hole! I realized my predicament in time to throw myself from the sled - face-planted right next to it...... took 10+ peeps to get my sled out..... started right up - we won't talk about the cosmetic damage... Thx TONS to all who stopped and helped!!!!

hey!......no eye jokes!!! :)

Ross, can't wait to see them pics!! Nice to see you today :beer;

Lynn - I was really glad I bumped into you today. I see the only things that has changed is a bigger monster sled, and a longer line to watch how 4Z changes a spark plug. :cool: You da man!

The only thing I didn't capture in this image is the hearts floating around everyone's heads.

Rosco, that is such a true statement. 4z's sled is just something to ooogle over FOR SURE! :) And nice pic of the dropper!

Karen, oh my lady! :( Glad you weren't hurt.

And to GTG... there was SO much untracked we were pullin' 1/2 mile sidehills with no other tracks in sight. :D It wasn't super fresh but definitely carveable and I left a good 2' trench everywhere I went. :D

Note to self.. gotta get vents.

So, let's see some more pics Rosco. :D

And, let's see some pics of the racoons I saw yesterday! ;)

Ross, still have not lost your wit I see...... Those were Unabtainium spark plugs, thus the crowd :)

More pics!!!!!!!

Helicopter

Did anyone else see that helicopter on Saturday morning? Our group was at the lookout when a helicopter ( sightseeing?) flew and hovered sooo close. It was incredible. My buddies got pics and video, but I haven't seen them yet. I woulda got pics myself but, uh, I was sorta using my shovel when the copter showed up:o

we saw the helicopter around 11am...... saw an airplane flying back and forth REALLY low around 2pm also - wondered if the airplane was FS looking for folks in the winderness.......

We saw the copter also, thought it was dropping off a few skier's but after talking them that was'nt the case.
What a great day, lots of untracked. the road in & out was rough but it was well worth the it but it the road would have been groomed on the way out ....:beer;

4Z sure draws a crowd, must be a lot of people learning to eek out that extra pony....:P

Great pic's Rosco, keep on posting them.

MOB, thanks for letting me throw a leg over the Nytro. Thats a sweet ride for sure.
