Does anyone have a link to avalanche info for the snowies? also is there a phone no we can call to get a forcast?

Look at the northern part of Colorado it's usually a good indicator of what's going on in the snowies as well

FYI, if you are looking at the Colorado Front Range Forecast, you'd better step each aspect up AT LEAST one notch for the Snowys.

Right now it's like a Lead Safe balanced on a Champagne Glass.

Avalanche Danger
The avalanche danger for the Front Range zone is CONSIDERABLE on all N-NE-E aspects, plus NW and SE aspects near and above treeline. Elsewhere, it is MODERATE. Slopes near and just above treeline with angles greater than 34 degrees are most suspect.


Again, STEP IT UP AT LEAST ONE LEVEL FOR THE SNOWYS!!!!

With the amount of people riding the snowies and there really is no dedicated avalanche forcast? Really?

Yep, not one dedicated to the Snowy's. Like sabels noted we use the No. Colorado forecasts. Happy Jack does alot of checking the slopes and we agree the conditions up here are the worst I've seen for avy's. Be VERY careful.
