FYI - This is hear say.

Ladies and gentalman Of the LA Pines, Bend Oregon Area I want to bring to your attention that I have reason to believe that there is a Guy from La Pines, Bend Oregon Area that is using my Company Name Indy Specialty of Minnesota and has been telling people he is somehow connected to me, I have done a few things for this shop, 2 jobs total to be exact. 2 partial crankcases. What I am hearing might be true..... I do not want to list the shops name but I will say this- _ _ _ Snowmobile repair, I have heard that Local law enforcement has made claims to this guy being a professional shister !! This guy seems to know the law enough to use it against his customers. He has changed shops 2 or 3 times in the last year.


I didn't want to beleive any of this but my last transaction with this person was based on trust and lets just say there is evidence that what people are saying seems to be true.

He talks big talk like he is sending all this work.... Then 1 thing shows up like a case and he wants the lock ring cut into like the Torque Masters that I build but he has someone else do the cranks and he asks me for used Polaris PTO -ends for his crank guy to use on cranks claimed to be from Indy Specialty.

This is what I have heard.

If I am incorrect hopefully this shop owner will come on this thread and clear things up.

Anyone else know of this shop ??

Liar and a thief

I know of the exact shop you are talking about...he sold our snowmobile for us for $1,500 on January 2, 2011. He told us PayPal would take 3-4 business day to clear, this sounds logical. Then three-four days go by, no money, but another story, and another, and another...

Then he is just way too busy to write us a check, can't possible meet for a few days. The few days go by, so I call him again. I then get the response "talk to my attorney". I called his attorney several times with no response.

I then tried to contact the shop again, this is when he informed me that "if you call me again, I will call the police and get a restraining order against you, and if you come to his place of business (16585 Sly Drive, Lapine, OR) I will have you arrested and thrown in jail". He still has many of my parts and refuses to return them.

I called the police, as I described my situation, they named GRS, before I could even tell them. Pretty sad! It appears that he has formed a business around taking advantage of people and the law. I have know this person for around eight years and have passed thousands of dollars through his shop and cannot believe that I am being treated like this.

He has promised to pay us on multiple dates, but we still have not received a penny or a payment plan, just lies and threats.

I placed a post on Craigslist and found many other victims and heard many similar stories. So, be very wary of bringing any property or having any service from GRS Snowmobile and ATV Repair = Gordan R. Shields. Yes, I will state his name, this is not hear say, I have email proof of everything I am stating!

Two months now since Gordan Shields has sold our snowmobile for us and still not a dime from him nor any plans of doing so! He is a liar and a thief.

GRS still has not paid us for our snowmobile he SOLD on 1/2/11!! Since then he has been trying to sell my motor parts. These are stolen property.

Clutch Man has been suspended from another forum due to his inability to run an honest business and because one of his transactions took place using the site. We all have a lot of money into our sleds and this guy comes along and just craps all over them.

Gordon Shields (A.K.A GRS Snowmobile, Clutchman) is a classic piece of **** liar and thief, with an apparent third grade education, that hides behind his lawyer while ripping off the community. I know first hand, as I am being ripped off right this minute.

We have called him numerous times (to the point that he has threatened to sue us for harassment), but he just tells us lies every time. We have been promised full payment, partial payments, and legal action many times, but still not received a dime. He has threatened to sue us for calling him eleven time in one hour (but did he call back to settle up, **** no).

We have called the Sheriff's, but he is very experienced at thievery, as he has a lawyer on staff; (Robert Lovlien of Bryant Lovlien & Jarvis in Bend, Or), that informs him on how to stay just above the law. Can you imagine the kind of person that would represent this piece of ****? Gorgon keeps telling me to contact his lawyer, I have called him six times, without one returned call (now that is representation).

Because we (and his other victims) gave him our sleds voluntarily, as you would at a reputable business, it makes it a civil case (our word against his). The only legal option left is a small claims case, of which we have begun. He should be served by the sheriff's via our law suit any day now! We have done all that we can do, legally. Any other option, we start stooping to his level (dog ****). This will not get our sled back or or money to us.

In the mean time he is spending our money building his new shop at his mommy's house in La Pine (because he got kicked out of his last house/shop). Yep, only his mother will take him in, at least for now. I really think she should be told what kind of son she has raised (I know I would want to know if my son was a community thief).

Tell us about the little old ladies that you are stealing from, as well (check out sledspace.com/grs). What about your ATV Repair business, any law suites there? Tell us about about that Gordan.

There are several people coming out of the woodwork with similar stories. We have a meeting set up for several of us victims to get together with the County Sheriff's office to discuss a plan of action.

We are looking at a true menace to our community and society that needs to be stopped.

Man that sucks. As a fellow small business owner, I have no idea how one could do that to their customers, not have a guilty conscience every morning, and go to work and continue more of the same. Poor...poor...poor.

Ok here is how u get law enforcement involved it is Oregon law that he HAS to have a lic and bond through DMV if he is selling sleds because they are lic through DMV. Call Dept of motor vehicles in Salem and file a complaint. They will send out an investigator and trust me crap will hit the fan basically what he is doing is a form of racketeering and is punishable by local law enforcement but YOU have to get DMV involved. Once they investigate and they will he is toast. I had the same crap going on here in baker with a local guy. Called DMV in and within two weeks his a$$ was in jail. Get your ducks in a row though first...... you and the other peeps need to all call at the same time k.

This is the first I have heard of this thread.
there is a court case pending against the mouth that said i stoled his sled. NOT true. it took 3 months to move and i am still not set up! there is work headed to Dan as we speak! hope to send lots of work to him now.
have been working 16 hr days and got a sprained foot too so it has not been fun.

there is a court case pending against the mouth that said i stoled his sled. NOT true. it took 3 months to move and i am still not set up! there is work headed to Dan as we speak! hope to send lots of work to him now.

You've been so busy you haven't been able to write a check to a guy whose sled you sold months ago?

thats me I think, bring it, You may want to make sure though because my list of missing parts and service not done is very long!!!!! I tried to take the high road and let you slide but if you really want to air it out I have a LOT to say!!!!!!!
