Ok I have sat back and tried to take the high road. Lets get some things straight.
Gordon aka Clutchman aka GRS Snowmobile Repair, has basically how I see it STOLE my sled. Out right STOLE IT.
I left my sled, my daughters sled and my trailer with Gordon in June . He was to post season my sled, fix a fuel stutter it was having. for the second time. I PAID him $365. to fix it earlier in the season. Still have the problem. I took my sled to another shop paid $285 to have the same problem fixed. The other shop found that my fuel filter was nasty "old never had been touched, worn belt, put new needles in there was a whole list of things that Gordon should of done but didn't do in order to find the problem of my sled cutting out.
I used Gordon by letting his daughter borrow my sled so she could ride while home on leave. I did not expect anything from either of them for this.
Come June I was still having the fuel problem. As a FREIND of Gordon's I left my two sleds and trailer with him, so he could test it and fix it during the summer when it is his slow time.
He has had nine months to fix my sled. I was to pay him for parts since he was goingto use my trailer to move to LaPine. He used my trailer for aprox. 77 days if he had rented a trailer at U-Haul it would of cost him $2306.15 that could buy a lot of shop labor. I paid him with a $100 check for a new fuel pump and fuel line. I did not come down in yesterday's rain storm, a rebuild kit would of been around $12.95 and a few dollars for the fuel line. What was the rest for... HUmmmm I wonder?????
While he was using my trailer to move he cut the wires on it, put a hole in the side of it, I just had the trailer completley rewired the summer 2010.
He also had his helper take my daughters sled out of the tailer so he could use it, guess what he broke her hood and hood hinge. Suddenly her sled doesn't stop, funny we didn't have this problem when the sled went in to the trailer, so now he has to work on the clutch. I gave him because I trusted him as a friend my bank card and pin number. He charged me only $35.00 for some bolts and a bushing arm thingy, he never was clear what he was fixing. Now her sled won't start.
At the end of January I asked him if my sleds could be fixed by the first week of March as I was going on a three day ride with a group that I go with every first weekend of March and have made this trip for years.. Sure
no problem, by the middle to end to Feb we set a date for me to pick up my sleds on the first of March. Come time to get my sleds they are not ready surprise surprise...... So he told me that he would deliver them to me at the snow park that I was going to on Friday March 4th at noon.
I got to the snow park no Gordon. My daughter and I sat in the parking lot to 7 hours waiting for th esleds, and listeningto his lies as to why he wasn't there with them. The lodge that we were staying at was a snowmobile/ ski into lodge. We managed to catch a ride to the lodge with the Cat. I left him a check inmy gas cap to reimburst him for the 45 galloms of gas he was to buy for my sleds for the weekend. He came at midnight took the check, cashed it, yes he did get gas for my sleds, plus gas for his truck. he never let me know that this was his plan. The gas should of been $172. but the check was made out for $213. If he had told me that he needed gas I would of had no problem with that . but just go and do that with out notice is wrong. By the way he didn't bring my sleds he just came 180 miles round trip aprx. just to grab the check. Saturday morning comes no sleds..... on the phone texting back and forth all day one reason after another why the sleds weren't there. Finally he is going to bring them to me...... yes he did at 11:00 p.m. no call or text to say the sleds where in the parking lot. I was so pissed I walked more than 3 miles to the snow park that night to see if the sleds where there yet. Yes they where there.... I opened the trailer door and my daughters sled was there but mine wasn't. in it's place was a broken down piece of junk, hood is duct taped together, and tied on with a rope no windshield, and expired plate 1999. EXcuse me is there something wrong with this picture? I was even more pissed. I called hm to come and get that junk out of my trailer. His reply was I'm being shelfish because I won't take on the responsibiltuy for that sled and take my 13 yr daughter snowmobiling. EXCUSE ME....... I couldn't get my daughters sled started so I walked back to the lodge. We left Sunday morning to come home.. Gordon told me he would have my sled finished by the next Weds. Weds comes no sled. and so the story goes for the whole month of March. He is going to bring it to me, no I'm to meet him on the pass, no I'm going to come and get it etc back and forth it went. I finally told him I want my sled fixed or not!!!!!! I am coming to get it onThursday March 24th. Prior to going to LaPIne to get the sled I called the sherrif to see where do I stand with this matter. It was a very interesting conversation to say the least. WEds, night I get an e-mail from Gordon telling me not to come over he won't be there. I thought that I had made it clear to him that I was coming to get the sled no matter what. I arrived in Lapine with a friend to get the sled, guess what Gordon was there !!!!!! I shocked him when I walked into his shop. He stated yelling at me waving a wrench in his hand and refused to give me my sled. he had it buried in the far end of his shop and had other sleds surrounding it , like you would see the indians attacking the wagon train. He is to busy to stop and get it out for me.....Even though he didn't have to I did bring help. The sherrif was called.... pictures are posted on Dlynn's face book. Gordon sent his helper home and told the sherriff he had an appointment to go to so he left. He also told the sherriff that he would have my sled fixed and delivered to me on the 30th of March. Right.... I know better.
On the 28th of March he goes to the local Sherriff's office and tells them that he is afraid of me. He has them call me to tell me to "BE NICE TO HIM" work with him. I am still laughing at that one. Gordon e-mails me telling me that he will bring my sled to me on the 30th we can meet on the pass, I am to bring no one wih me and I am to sign a wavier stating that I will not sue him before the sled comes off his trailer. If I do not agree to his terms then he will not come...... lets think about this ..... hummmm he is afraid of me ... but wants to meet up along side the highway location unknown...... I replied that Iwould meet him in the parking lot next to A&W in Oakridge and that I was going to bing a friend with me to video tape the exchange and help me load the sled if needed and that I will not sign a waiver before I have the sled checked out. NOPE he can't do that he is afraid of me....
we went back and forth over this finally he decides that the echange will be in the evening. Well I am not going to leave my daughter home at night for an ordeal that will take God knows how long. So she is coming along. Weds morning at 6:00 am. I get e-mail from him stating that he is not coming because he is afraid of me. And that my sled is now in lock down..... lockdown what did my sled do stickit's little ski out and trip him lol. and he is going to sue me and get a restraining order against me, We can settle this in court.
Now I have taken the high road in all this but this is getting out of hand when he cliams that I have used him and owe him money. I have canceled checks showing that I paid him. I owe him not a dime. hummmmm I guess every one of his customers just use him, are dead beats etc.
Understand I am not a spring chicken but am 60yrs old and only 5'2" what damage can I do to a man who is 6 or 5 yrs younger than me and weighs 300 lbs. Am I stupid for even thinking of trying to hurt him. I know how to use the legal system....
By the way this game that he is pulling on me he has pulled on someone else over some quads. Russ JR there is a lawsuit pending that case and I have spoken with Russ' Lawyer in Grants Pass.
I wonder just how many lawsuits can Gordon handle at one time. Also his ankle has been bothering him since DEc, how long does it take to heal an ankle????? We must feel sorry for him after all, all of his customers are dead beats and low lifes and he hurt his ankle.
Gordon do you understand I WANT MY SLED BACK
I am open to any and all comments if you have had bad dealings with him please let me know.
