picked up my 09 xp for 10300 this year, and coulda got a 2010 same sled for 11400, through some people.

I picked up my 09 XP for $8000 LAST year.

- Starter POS 1950's house that needs everything costs $300,000.
- Solid family house that needs nothing = $450,000.....anything fancy 600K+++
- Nice new crew cab 1/2 ton truck = $40 - 50K About$25-32K- New sled $13K - 14K + goodies 11K for comparable??
- Good truck insurance $1,600/year with perfect record 1800/year for truck, van, car, 3 sleds, and a 5th wheel.
- 12% sales tax on almost everything
- $4 ++ per gallon gas or diesel $2.69/gallon for reg, but that's 85.5 octane
- $23 for 12 pack of Budweiser About $14 for 18 pck, maybe a litte cheaper at times

And that's all bought with money you've already paid 30%++++ income tax on. Pretty bad EH?

Sure is fun here tho![/QUOTE]

Ya prices are high in Canada. I live in a little town in Montana and our house is worth about 125,000. Same house in Alberta would probably go between 350000-500000 depending on location.

My daughter and her husband just paid 375000 for a 1600sqft house in Spruce Grove.....INSANE!

Lot of places down here are high as well, just depends on location.

Sorry guys, but seeing what your paying for stock sleds makes me feel a lot better about spending 16g on my vanamburg TM1000, makes me feel like I got a steal of a deal!

That's nothing!

I would imagine that you will get the same development as Sweden with Obama.
Sweden prices are insane, I'm afraid the US is heading down that way as well!:face-icon-small-sad

I am original from Canada, moved her 15 years ago as there were no jobs in nursing when I graduated, and the above reasons are why I'll probably never move back......But BC sure would be nice to have as a backyard!:face-icon-small-hap

Qotes

paid 11,500 for my stock m8 in the states( kalispel ) Have a buddy that just paid around 15,000 for a 2010 sno pro m8 153

I just got a quote on a new 2010 M8sp 153 from a dealer(it will be my first ever new Cat) of $11,800. $11,000 for a non-sp. Oh ya....it's a Canadian dealer too and he's right in my "back yard". I apologise to the 2 guys in MN. for waisting their time with me trying to sell me their used '09's.

Is that taxes and everything in? Thats pretty good, I'm in BC So we get taxed hharrrrdddd

There are deals if you want to look around.

If you drive up and leave your lifted mega-cab idling infront of the showroom doors, say you're just on turn-around and need a sled, its quite likely you won't find one.

you're kidding right? Try 6 feet this year if you're lucky.

You do know the difference between annual snowfall and base correct? We've had about 20 feet at the local ski hill and it's just past 1/2 way in the snow season....so 40 feet is realistic.

I hate paying 22 bucks for a case of Kokanee in Creston (home of the Kokanee brewery) and then then going across the border 20 minutes away from Creston adn paying US 10 bucks for the same case of beer made in Canada 20 minutes away.

There is a serious problem with that folks. The same could be said for a Skidoo, they are made here so they should be cheaper. Especially with the dollar close to par.

Yup, that's just insane. Not to rub it in, but I jsut paid $16 for 2 cases og budweiser, it was on sale!

How's Creston sledding? My father-in-law lives there, but haven't been there in a while.

Ya that really bugs me....You can buy it cheaper in Spokane than you can from the damned brewery!!

Yes, but the more annual snowfall, the more days with fresh powder....and if you don't like that, interior BC ain't for you!

call it what you want, p.k. hasn't had epic snow for some time now, last year and the one before were o.k. but please, 40' of annual makes for more than a 6-8' base

sleds, quad, cars, trucks etc. all higher here :(

also the power and heat for my igloo is a arm and a leg

Our paychecks are also higher and we get free medical coverage.... it is what it is......
I was in California this weekend and there was alot of people living in their cars.

We are having a hard year so we might not hit 35 feet, look up Powder King Ski Village. I have been riding out of a cabin there since '98, we have pics of sleds on the roof!!
