Are the 09's really that bad?

Ok thanks. We have always used break cleaner to clean the clutches and then blown them out and wiped them out then used the lubricating graphite... Is that a wrong way to do it or is that ok?

Warm soapy water and rinse well with hot water. Scotchbrite the sheaves. No chemicals and especially no lube of any kind anywhere. Some people put their cluch in the dishwasher without soap on the hot setting. Just think clean!

Scotch brite, Brakleen faces and sides of belt with shop rag. Spent $80 on XP shop manual, don't believe the alignment specs. Measure a known good REV then yours and tell me I'm wrong. After all they originally come out with the 166 belt.

a small dab of gas and alot of compressed air to dry it up really loosens up the tra arms when they are new. I had no brake cleaner left in the garage so I tried it. Worked awsome.

So no graphite even in the clutches in the ZX chassis. We haven't had the XP clutch apart yet so when i said we used the graphite i meant in those clutches. Is that wrong too because that's just how we were told to do it.
Thanks
