I rode up there one year with my brother. We had never been but it is pretty easy to figure out if you just want to ride the lakes...seems nobody leaves the staked trail so there is tons of untouched to play in. Also lots of swamps, etc right off the lakes as I recall.

Good luck. I'd love to go back up there, just wish some of it wasn't National Park.

Looking at the map we stayed at the east end and rode anywhere from there over to the Falls and down by Orr. I recall lots of logging and logging roads down around Orr, but my brother wasn't much for exploring. Looked like fun though if there is coverage for the slash.

I'm probably not going up there this weekend.........

There's about ten of us going to ride here just north of Duluth. We have almost two feet, but up there they have almost three feet. It's just cold.
