Any reviews on the new peak 2.5

The Yamaha track you are talking about is the same, but 2.25 and the peak is 2.5. I went with the 153 because I have one. It's what I ran last season on my turbo m. All I had to purchase were a set of drivers. Also, I believe that track design is only in 3 inch pitch lengths and comes out to 153.

Matt,

What brannd of 3" pitch drivers are you running?

The 153" track... is that the 9174M?

peak track impressions

Ok. I rode my peak today and have to say I am very impressed.
I am finally getting my sled dialed.
12 Assault
I was trenching really bad at first.
Moved my suspension to the pro hole and wha la.
We have about 90 inches of snow on the ground and this setup is the superior to my 11 pro with stock track.
The seat of my pants ripped a little it was so good.

Although I still think the Peak may be a better all-around track than the stock 5.1, it is definitely NOT a better powder track. Considering that powder is what my group and I ride (we will pass on rides when it's too settled), the Peak is coming off my Pro in the next couple days and the stock 5.1 is going back on. I've rode the Peak in a variety of conditions and in deep pow, my sled is at a very definite disadvantage vs my buddys' sleds that have the stock 5.1.

The peak track is a very slow track. After 50 mph it shuts right down on speed. We lined up a stock pro w/stock track against a BD turbo pro (8psi) with the peak. Stock pro would pull the turbo at half lake everytime. This track is also a trencher in powder.

IMO the peak track isnt made out to what its hyped up to be, so make sure you try one before you buy!
