shhhhh. high basin is kind of like the big holes--locals only. we hit it thurdsay afternoon when the visibility was garbage but the snow was suprisingly good.
went into high basin and behind blue mountain and
there was about 6-8 inches new all the cornices are formed
good and at jump hill they were also but soft enough could bust
right through them

We went saturday april 4th and unloaded at the narrows and road over the W
and out to the flats and headed up ally lion trail back in to poision creek and then into high basin the snow was fantastic probably the most there has been up there all winter long there was no sage brush showing on blue so we could climb it but the snow was deep enough it took some work for the M7 and breaking trail up devils staircase it took some effort but made it otherwise the snow was awsome a havy powder about foot and a half but snow still over fence posts back behind blue mountain it was a blast and not very many people at all
