I've got a beauty pic of Canuckle, near puking, in front of Slim's parent's place in Idaho Falls. Siphoning 100LL with your mouth can be a biotch...

It's at home on my notebook, I'll get it up tonight.

Told this story before -
I have to check internet billing records for sure. Somewhere around 96-97 we hooked up to dial up. Found Yahoo and typed in snowmobile shortly after. 5 items were displayed. One was a link to the origin of this forum. Trail conditions post, old, old forum style. I was a lurker then gathering great info and super good laughs from the posters. Kept searching Yahoo by typing in snowmobile to find this forum One day when clicking the link, I was redirected. The 2nd forum as we knew it then was started. I remember posts where talk was "we have 20 members as of today", then 30 members... I origionally signed in as user #43 which was "Gimpy". if memory serves me right, ended up with like 100 to 200 members that year. Nobody knew me and since I was an outsider took some beatings while posting with my humor. Never forget Doug chewing me out. Someone had posted as being lost and I came back with the reply that they were f**owi Indians, like 'where the *** are we' . Doug gave me the 3rd degree about bashing native americans. The forum upgraded a few times before Delphi was taken up as the message board. We always had to sign back in whenever an upgrade was made to thhe forum. Somewhere around June or July of '01 the forum went through another upgrade and I never resigned in until September, just kept lurking waiting for talk of the first snows hitting the mountains. That is when we quit racing for the season (September and I signed in to find out some snow conditions so we could try to fit in an early ride), and that is where my current register date stands at. seen a lot of people and names come and go over the years. Most likely met a number of you old timers on here as we had traveled mountain ranges to ride through the early 90's on up. We would pull into parking areas and go explore on our own. Stopped riding in 2002 after busting a sternum, kept tabs on the forum since then though.
I had to chuckle quite a few months back when I posted to a thread where newbies were having a discussion. One of them had replied "Hey guys, we have a newbie here, let's give him some rep" LMAO.... I been on this forum since they were in grade school.... Not dissin' them, but the new sence of humor and techno posts just doesn't hold a candle to days of old on this forum. Then again some days I am amazed at their witt

still here poking around, where the hell is vally girl

Val Gal and her hubby (Sled Dad) and kids are still in Creston, BC. I haven't seen her on here much lately, but I have hooked up with her hubby and son a few times over the years to go for a ride. (My mom lives in Creston). Seeing her at my Dad's funeral last year meant a huge deal to me. Her family is another example of some of the wonderful people I've met on here over the years.

This site has been more useful than my shop manual. I spend more time on doo-talk but this is still a very good site.:)
