I spun one of my drives and it twisted my driveshaft and tore my track.....
This is the 3rd shaft AND!!!!! my speedo still doesnt work after the 5th pickup!!
I am sooo close to condeming this one as a lemon.

Check out the pics, One driver is off by 2 clicks on the shaft

I'm going to the 153x15 power claw track now.

how that happen?

Sure you didn't hit something that tore the track and the built up inertia in the track and driveline is what caused the driver to spin on the shaft?

If not, then Damn Man!! Stop riding so hard!!! :D

that's what I'm thinking as well, the area of the track damage doesn't have contact with the drivers. just spinning the drive sprocket on the shaft won't tear the track in the spot shown. also, wouldn't any damage caused by the drivers be inside the track, and not outside?

My thoughts exactly. I have never had a driver spin and do that. I think you hooked the track on something, smack loaded the drivers, they spun and wrecked the shaft. JMO

I would agree with all the posts,
How could you just spin one driver, and also tear the track like that?

Looks like an impact.

to go through 3 shafts.. WOW

"the rest of the story"

OK boys.... just an FYI, I did hit a stump climbing a hill in South Cle Elum area. But, "the rest of the story" is the driver spun two cogs on the shaft, broke the fiberglass bars and that started the "delam" of the track.

But WOW letting you guys fester on this really paid off!! April fools! NOT :D

Enjoy spring season... I know I will.

PS the other two were BRP issues and my speedo still doesnt work.....:face-icon-small-fro

Check out avid-products dual path driveshaft, much stronger. Also avid xp drivers have banded flanges thus doubling grip on driveshaft. Now we all know how light is too light?!

too light for what? smashing over stumps? if they were built for that, they would weigh as much as an RX-1....just sayin.

I have your problem solved, and you wont have to put the 153 power claw on your xp. Just sno check a 2010 M8 and all of your problems are solved:D;)

It's obvious you nailed something pretty hard by the looks of your track and spun the driver which in my opinion is your own fault not BRP's. Unless you are running gobs of power you shouldn't be able to spin a driver like that. Reminds me of the video some guy had on here a while back *****ing about Doo's sh**y tracks when you see him launch over a six foot tree and blow the track out of the sled. Ride a little smarter and I think your problems would be cured.

:):)Sensing some denial here? BRP has warrantied this driveshaft twice, the second time with a minor end stub depth change. Polaris also had a driver slippage problem with its fusion chassis sleds due to minimal inner cog depth. Not all of us ride areas totally void of hidden dangers under the snow. I ride with several xp pilots and throw a leg over these sleds whenever I can. In my opinion these are the best mountain doos yet. Lightweight is all good untill reliabilty is sacrificed, besides nobody ever said the previous rev was too heavy.

I will stick up for skip here. If you look at how little indent there is around an XP drive shaft for the drivers to hold to without spinning it would make you wonder how this doesnt happen more often. Granted he did hit a stump but if the XP had a hex drive shaft I don't think it would have happened. Plus 2 driveshafts, 1 set of gears and chain, handlebar heaters, rear bumper bolts, 5 speedo sensors, plus more that I can't remember. I can understand his frustration. If he had to take his sled to a shop every time something had to be fixed, his XP would be $20,000
