Another 08 and Earlier Front Bumper Option Coming Soon!

I ordered mine today, are they including the end caps with all of them or do I need to request them?

When I have them I will post them up and start sending them out to those that want them. Eventually they will include them but right now it will be a FREE option.

Thanks,
Paul

Are the end caps black plastic or are there some polished ones to go with the polished bumpers too?

Just got my bumper yesterday afternoon, dropped everything and went for the install! Very light and easy install with great directions. I think the design also looks the best of the bunch. Others looked "raked" down too much. This one's perfect! Thanks Paul!

P.S. End caps would be great!! Send me some too please!

I got one installed on one of my sleds. Install was easy enough, I just wish the little covers looked better  I ended up putting mine in a vice with a piece of round cold roll steel, heated up the plastic part and formed it so it would roll over the edge a little bit to make it look more finished. Still not 100% good looking though.....

Cheers to Toby from Treedog. Not out to make a mint, just wants to go sledding and make a quality product which is exactly what he has! Kind of tired of everyone making cheap products and trying to sell them for a cheaper price. It isn't about the money, its how long it lasts and whether it is easy to install, functions properly, looks good etc. There are some items out on the market that you can pay 50.00 for and they are worth 5.00 and others you pay a little more, but they are perfect in all of the above, this is what Toby has. PS: I have only met Toby once, but that is all it took to convince me he is a true lover of the sport. Buy it, You will like it.

I agree that the plastic covers for the holes in the fenders could fit and look better. Check out Craigvansickles post on here about the bumper he made. He filled the holes with some aluminium framed vents that look really good, I think I'm going to try to do this myself. Maybe if we all asked Paul he could get Skinz to come up with something better. Paul?????

Since this thread is about Skinz bumpers and not Treedogs it doesn't seem like the right place to post this.

On the other hand I seen Treedogs.... Good bumper too.... I like that WE have DIFFERENT places to buy DIFFERENT products.... Some people like the double bumper idea, some don't.....

I agree it wasnt perfect. Skinz did us all a huge favor though. They came out with a bumper for the older IQ chasis, in a short amount of time. Perfect no, DANG NICE though!!!!! The minor tweaks that would be needed to make it perfect well outweigh how quickly they produced a nice product.

Now this other company looks to have perfected a copy-cat of the Skinz bumper.

I hope what I posted did not sound like I was complaining! I love my new bumpers, but if Skinz was to come up with a better cover for the holes I would be even happier. The covers that come with Vinnee's bumper look pretty nice

I dont think it came off with complaining. I was just stating that the time frame that Skinz had to get us a bumper I dont think anyone could have done much better.

It bothers me that now we have someone splashing pics of "their" bumper, on threads that looks pretty identical to the Skinz bumper. It would have been pretty easy to build a duplicate after the original Skinz pictures were posted. While in the process of making a duplicate, make a few minor improvements. They didnt have to reinvent the wheel like Skinz did, just improve on it.

Are you following what I am getting at? Competetion is great but have a little respect is kind of what I am getting at?

After reading this post and out of respect for who ever it is your concerned about, I gladly deleted my post and pics that I was "splashing" around?

The topic was plastic and I simply referenced plastic! Had I been interested in being "competative" I could have posted the entire spread that would clearly show that my design is nothing like Skinz and certainly not a copy-cat.

I certainly did not intend to disrespect anyone on this thread. Forums are about options and Ideas and I think that we all understand the value of that when it comes to Sled parts? Like you, I have increased my knowledge many times from this forum from someone elses perspective or ideas, it's what make this whole thing work;)

The plastic close-offs are a tough item to design and produce however they really finish the sled, I'm sure someone will come up with an idea soon?

Best Regards

Rich.

If its different than lets see it!!!!!!!!! I am all for it! The pics you put up made it look identical except for the plastic covers. BTW... they look great.

Like I said, at the time you put up the pictures, it looked pretty much like a carbon copy. If it is a different design, then I am all for it. Lets see it then! If the design is different, I appologize for spouting off and will go crawl back into my corner...

I hope you understand I meant no disrespect to. I probally came off as a big prick... I just hope you can understand where I am coming from. Working on sleds a lot has showed me it is easier to perfect someone elses product, than invent my own. Skinz came out with a nice product in a short period of time, and met the need for many of us. I can really appreciate that.

Well... I need to eat some crow here... the bumpers are completely different except for what you see on the outside. I applaud Vinnee for comign up with a nice bumper ON HIS OWN. Hopefully he will sell them now, becasue I have a couple buddy's wanting bumpers.

Vinnee, sorry for the attack, I will go back into time out now.. :(

Outlaw..

i dont want to pick sides or start anymore of an arguement, but i have some pics of VINNEES bumper..i wont share them unless he permits it, but honestly, its not like the skinz bumper at all..of coarse it has similar mounting but thats very limited to change..but it really is a GREAT looking item and they did their own design/mock up work to make it different..its almost like a tri-city bumper/skinz bumper combo..i really really like it..but hell i love them all..including treedogs..anyone that has an idea to make something better, whether its similar or not just wants to make something better for others to enjoy..

its no differnt then the better boards/snow elminators and the new F.U. Boards..same designs, different product..

VINNEE is a great guy, Paul is agreat guy and Toby is a great guy..all great products to better our sport..who cares when it came out, or how they look similar..

i love everyone :)

OK... I cant stay in time out very long. It APPEARED very fishy to me that the bumper came in the time frame it did after the Skinz release. It would be very easy to take the pics Paul posted and have a copy built and sell it. Obviously this is a very hot ticket item right now. I was trying to look out for Skinz and Paul. They have both treated me VERY well.

Obviously I was wrong on all accounts... headed back to time out now... :face-icon-small-win
