anyone know the snow conditions at turnagain pass? it was snowing on sunday and the avalanche advisory guys are only doing htat on fridays now.
placer river is done since the glacier is closed right??? i assume you can not ride up on the left side of the mountain as you are going out to the glacier. I also can not take the johnson pass trail anymore. it beats me up way too much. but does anyone know where i can find a decent 2.5 gallon gas can around town. napa has some cheap ones and all the sled shops are sold out till next winter. im looking for 2 of them. thanks

hey vance, if you dont mind a little drive you can do johnsons pass from the south side....just go to moose pass and the trail is on the far side of the lake if I remember right(havent been that way in a long time)..but it is more open and smoother..if interested pm theultrarider..he normally goes in that way....mike
