after market

Hi, do any of you guys know some good websites to order from, like performance, skis and upgrades of all sorts .
my ride is a 05 900 rmk 151" just bougth it :) i live in norway, europe. and i turn to you because it's not much upgrade stuff her:)

thanks

Search USA ebay is the best / cheapest.

Babbits online is good if they have it in stock.

Carl's Cycle has aftermarket custom parts.

I think you can ask many USA Polaris shops and they are discounting 900 parts.

thanks, that was quick:)

my sled is all stock, none upgrades, whats the most importand to do first? i'm planning to take out the rad, new airbox, skis and spindels maybe but don't really know what brand's has the best parts in the different areas of my sled?

Read up, everything you want to know about these can be found in the 900 section.

Definately delete the radiator.
Ski's - I'd suggest Powder Pro's or Grippers.
Spindles - Stock set from a Raw or Holz, Zbroz is also getting high marks.
Airbox - Fire n Ice is supposed to be about the best, but someone posted a good "how to" on gutting and porting the stock air box. Stock box flows good the way it is, just makes for a crappy clutch cover and is bulky.
Motor mounts - update to the 06's or get the Compfusion kits.
Clutch needs balanced.
05 Pistons need updated to 06.
There is an update for the fuel tank.
Intake boots on the Throttle bodies are probably cracked.
There is an update for the chaincase cover, a plate to keep heat off the plastic cover.
Check you belt tension and side clearance, adjust accordingly.
Read up on different clutch setups to reduce heat.
Re-gear, again, read up on what people are using and what conditions apply to you.
Front track shock spring needs to be changed out to a heavier one.

That's kind of where I'm at with mine, after some great experience from people on this forum that have shared what they know about these. In stock form... they suck, but once "fixed" they can be a great sled.

Venting

Just to add to Jsledder's post. Venting on these sleds is a must! Also after taking out the radaitor putting on a set of ice scratchers is a must. Anything that you are thinking about doing to your sled you will find on this site. Also a lot of good info. on what to do, just need to surf a bit. Good luck & welcome to the 900 club! :face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-hap

On my sled i ran Holz last year, & running RSI this year. As last year i backed up a few times and got them bent way out of shape. This is the only drawback to this style of scratcher. You need to hook them up over the rails before backing up. A friend runs the cable ones but if you use these make sure to put locktite on them they work good too. As far as vents make sure to vent side panels, shock towers, hood, foot wells, & top of consol.
SLP makes a lot after market parts for the 900's
R&M vents
2cool vent
Mountain Machine
Ice Age rails
Avid drivers
Western power sports
Holz
Timber sled
This is a few sites you can look at to find parts. Hope this helps.;)

thanks again :)

You should be able to call a dealer and give them the VIN to find out what updates have been done and what need to be done. They should be able to also decipher those codes for you. I have a sheet laying around for that somewhere but might take a couple days to find it:confused:..... If it's even in a spot where it wants to be found.
