Access/parking on Brohm ridge

Hi guys,
It s my first year snowmobiling and I am looking forward for day #1.
looks like brohm ridge is the first spot to get snow.
I try to check out the access last week end and ended up driving up the northern one of the two road. I got "lost" on few dead end and stopped at the top by the lack of bridge across one of the main drainage.
Back to the base I realized that I took the wrong road. I got confused by a board stating this road at the brohm ridge access and stating that it was open to snowmobile.
I just had enough time left to found the second way up the hill starting at Cat lake itself but didn't made it up.
So here are couple questions:
The northern road was not in too bad shape for my truck but I don't know if I would take my older trailer on it. It's in decent shape but have seen many winters and if it s not a rust bucket there is still rust all over. How strong those trailers are compare to a old pathfinder SUV?
From the map the main access road looks steeper. Is there massive cross ditches on it?
Second question is about parking. Since the snow level is a moving features, where do you park or even more simply where do you do a u-turn? Is there a particular parking etiquette to respect?
What is the minimum snow altitude required for a noob to make it to the ridge?
Thanks

Unless you have deep pockets wait till the snow is deeper. You'll bust or bend suspension on hidden rocks. If this is your first year sledding then take an avy course. By the end of Nov you should be safe.

At very least go with somebody who knows the area.

Enjoy your first season

No deep pockets for me :)
I ll wait a bit more. As for the avy course I have spent 25 years roaming the backcountry on skis so I know a thing or two.
Although, just watching vids on youtube sleds seems to trigger avalanches WAY easier and WAY WAY bigger than a skier would do.
I ll have to keep to psyche under control !!!!!

I ended up driving to the upper gates this week end. I wanted to check for myself and took the GF for a hike. Beautiful spot btw.
As for driving the road with a trailer and sleds, hum... It is not impossible but it is tough. This is not the gnarliest FSR I drove on in BC but ain't the best either. It is consistently steep and very rocky. There is plenty small water bar and a handful of mid-sizes one.
It took more than an hour to get to the top (go down) with an SUV. I got passed by a F-150 raptor which was reaping the road bouncing left and right of center, I guess he took him half the time. My truck is too old for such beating.
As for parking, on the top third elevation there is several spot allowing u-turn but on the bottom two third there is less spot and only a few would accommodate a not too sketchy u-turn.
Bottom line, better sport a trailer in very good shape with large heavy duty tires and be ready for an epic reverse if you find the snow line before you find your parking spot.
I want to sell my SUV and get a pick-up truck now :face-icon-small-hap

once the season gets going you usually dont have to go onto the steep stuff, snow line gets down to cat lake area. early season can get a bit sketchy on either road up

Anybody have an update on brohm ridge, how much snow, how far of a drive up!
