8" Fly-Riser Question???

I rode with a guy on the weekend who has an identical sled to mine (08' Dragon) and he said he had on his sled an 8" fly-riser and that he didnt have to use any cable extension kits?? I always thought this was impossible! However i did see it on his sled. He cut the plastic ties holding all the lines together.

Can anyone confirm? I want one for Christmas if so

Measured what I was using last year on an 08 D8, it is 7" center to center. I ran the wires on the outside of the riser, and routed the brakeline the shortest distance, but that's all.

riser question

I installed the RSI riser this fall (8") I had to purchase the longer brake line and throttle extension. I may have been able to make the throttle cable work, but very doubtful. The wiring did not need any additions. I simply had to reroute a few things. I should mention this was on a 08 Dragon 700

Thanks Palo-P and Signdude.
The guy i rode with did the same thing as you palo-poo. He ran the lines on either side of the riser and it worked without having to buy cable extension kits. He said it was a fly 8" and i didnt have a measuring tape with me to confirm. At least i know 7" works for sure now.

you're welcome ronmex.......and maybe Fly calls the one I have an 8". If you include the top and bottom caps, it would be about 8" overall, but not 8" of rise.
