7 stolen sleds from Revelstoke

Well, apparently you can buy a dodge/chevy/GM/toyota/mitsubishi/honda/yugo/etc and not have to worry about it getting stolen...

and a assault person crime will get ya 20.

triple murder would barely get you that.........but unfortunately it wouldn't matter if they were raping your daughter or if you just didn't like their hair. That's a whole other issue.

We've been up a bunch of times and had a great time, no problems. But if you guys don't want to make tracks......too bad:p

Sorry if I offended your brand of automobile, just pointing out the obvious.....:eek:

Totally agree mb1.

Our justice system is a complete joke........seen it first hand where a guy would do whatever (steal a vehicle, rape an old lady, murder somebody, kidnap somebody, breach their probation which they are on because they breached 6 previous probations, etc) and only serve a night in jail when they are arrested.

What these guys need is to open the trailer door and find themselves looking straight into the muzzle of a 12gauge, then taken into the trailer they were attempting to steal and have the chit beat out of them for days on end...............then take them out into the back 40, strip 'em down and leave them out there to fend for themselves, maybe even give them a couple cuts to leave a blood trail for a pack of wolves to devour them.

And if they do serve time, they eat better than half society who is not in jail, have free internet and programming for whatever they want. And most won't even serve their entire sentence.

Our justice system is a joke. I fully believe that if joe citizen was armed like others in certain parts of north america to the south of canada, this problem wouldn't be so big.

Thats my rant:mad:

Pulling the fuel pump fuse.....among others is also a very effective/cheap theft deterrent. Who is really gone spend time while stealing a unit to check all the fuses........ food for thought.

Some good tips on immobilizing the vehicles. This is also a reminder to carry good sled insurance.
The obvious has been stated...there is no penalty for the crime in Canada, therefore no deterrent for these F%$#in Scumbags.
No matter what you do to deter these C0**Su#$ers if they want it bad enough, they'll get it.
We'll keep our eyes open around Kelowna.

That one set of guys they caught had extra fuel relays on them so they know the tricks hands down. Just pay the $$$$ and buy the security.

Been going to Revy for 7 years now, only problem ever had was: we were late coming down off Boulder and some young punks needed gas out of my freashly filled truck tank more than I did. I know who it was and when the time is right I'll get even.;)

My truck is much safer at Revy then at my house, might as well go ride if my **** is going to be stolen anyways. Been always worried as hell about my stuff being stolen, think i'll be pretty safe this year with my deck having chains threw the track and skis and the locks under the deck, and driving a Dodge :D But who knows nowdays....let's hope the thieves lock themselves up in a building with the sleds running :)

Hate to say it but them canadians dont care much for us yanks.. 20 trips this year and all with a grain of salt... from whistler to revy... Maybe it was the ford??

Apparently the 99-06 ford pickups are the #1 stolen vehicle in BC right now. I heard on the news that ICBC is even paying to have immobilizers installed in them.

Just curious what makes the Ford so easy to steal? I thought the chip in the key would not allow the engine to start without it? (Naive, I know.)

No need to give away any secrets, just curious.

no chip in the ford getto trucks, you might as well leave it unlocked with the engine running or pull out the anchor chain with a super lock and chain it to another truck, like a chevy!!!
