600 on boost... is it worth it?

Is there really an advantage in paying the extra money for the stage three kit vs the stage 2 kitwhen you only gain a few extra pounds of boost? The stage 3 is good for 18lbs and the guys at the local cat dealer are running 15lbs through their stage 2's. Way easier install with the stage 2 and you don't have to worry about your throttle bodies coming apart.

Whichever you do, put some mesh screen or something over the air intake. headlight clips DO come off and the turbo itself cost 1300.

well... Cutler claims the stage II is only good to 10PSI, so the claimed 18 is likely pretty low as well. I'd guess that he puts those numbers out for the low side of elevation, and if you can go higher, then cool, but he's not claiming it.

The sled I'm looking at is set up, different throttle bodies, all done. I"m guessing we can hit 22+ up here. I can't afford to run the fuel for 22 though... so it's kinda pointless, I'm planning on just being able to wash away det with the extra injectors if we ever need to turn it up past 15 psi (WHY would that ever happen... hellifiknow?)

btw, I don't think this one has the cold air setup, so the intake isn't an issue. We don't run headlights either.

I've never been on a boosted 600, but the difference in lag between a TM1000 and a TM8 is major. The 1000 doesn't have any (and this is coming from a guy who can't shut up about how fun his PG M8 is.) If the 600s have ANY more lag than an 800 I wouldn't want one.
