509 disappointment

509 Films has my buisiness for ever.

The othe day I was up sledding in Idaho and i was having a problem eith my 509 goggles fitting properly.

I called Tom from 509 films and he drove 85 miles and helped me put them on. I was putting them on upside down. I am partially retarded and Tom realizes this and helps me out when he can.

Thanks again Tom

p.s. I tried putting Vertical Ascent in the toaster and it won't play. Any thoughts?

Ha ha, funny stuff!!!

That either says a lot about Tom's customer service....................or a lot about the types of customers that buy from him;) What does that make me?

This just goes to show you can't make everyone happy, So stop...............

I like my goggles they work real good. It cracks me up that people would try to knock someones good intentions to put out a good product, to help the fellow rider enjoy his sport just a lil bit better. Keep in mind that Tom is a fellow rider that knows what we all are looking for in a good product, and not just someone out there trying to come up with something cheap and weak for top dollar price. I have ridden with him and he uses his own product, So that says alot to me!!!!

What color to choose from?

im thinking about getting a pair of them der goggles! What color lenses does you guys like to ride with, the chorme, blue or orange? Whats best for flat light? muchas greasy azz!

Hey, I was out cruisin' around for parts on ebay and came across the goggles, without even thinking cost it was just a motion to go straight to the buy now and within a minute I realized my actions. Was just wondering what turn around is for those to be shipped if anyone knows, I'm headed out Sat morning to do some riding and was hoping to get them before I head out. Going out riding is always fun, but when you get something new to try out it makes the excitment that much more!

Don't be fooled by the handful of threads of people stating they aren't happy. Truth be told, for every 1 person who makes a public post asking why they're goggles are a couple days late, I could give you HUNDREDS who received them in 2-3 days. So let's be real here. 99.9% of the time orders are shipped within 12-48 hours of receiving the order. On the rare occasion when an order comes in while I'm out filming, rest assured it's shipped soon as I get back. So there is no hassle. It's not like I'm shipping 50 goggles and 5 people aren't happy. They're out of a pool of THOUSANDS shipped. And as you can see by everything I've posted I make sure those 5 are taken care of no matter what (free upgraded shipping, free dvd's, etc). Hope that paints a clear picture of the real situation.

Its easier to deal with someone that will own up to a glitch or whatever the problem is, and throw you some extra goodies for free, instead of them just kicking you to the curb. No business is perfect, and when theyre willing to go the extra step to make sure your happy thats what you really want in a business to deal with anyway. Thats how I am anyway. Im gonnaorder some now.

Awesome product and service! Tom @ 509 ROCKS!

Had a very slight glitch with my order and Tom had a new part on my doorstep in 2 days...and told me to keep the other part as a freebie! Now that's customer service! Now where the hell are my 12" Skull stickers that are back-ordered? (j/k) 509 gets 5/5 stars from me and I'll buy from them anytime

No 509 disappointment here. Ordered the goggles last week & received them within 3 business days. Now I can't wait to try em out!

i ordered a pair about 2 days before we were going to head to cooke and was hoping i would get them by then so i could use them on our trip. put a post on here wonderin how long it took to get them and tom PMd me and said he would send them priority so that i would get them in time for our trip...but i used paypal and the cash hadnt cleared so he wasnt able to send them out but that shows you how good of customer service he offers. i ended up getting them in 3 days but o well ha ha. awsome customer service! i would recomend these goggles to anyone! cheers to you tom!

i got a set of sinisters awhile back and bought spare lenses with them. i got the orange and blue lenses and got to buy some clear ones for night riding cause the others are just to dark. these goggles are awesome so far. and the free dvd just throws the deal over the fence. for 65 i got a pair of goggles, spare lenses and a dvd, unbelievable.

Haha, customer service or what?!?! The second I get home from work, I see this perfect shaped box to match what my rush to the mailbox. Got them today, and couldn't be more pleased, they look sweet and even came with a goggle sock which I wasn't even expecting. You have no idea how sweet it is going to be to try these this weekend, can only hope they live up to the hype, Thanks Tom

(Might have to strike a deal with ya if I get all my buddies to convert to your goggles I get some stickers or something to nascar up the sled...haha jk)

Ok, so just kidding, I went on closer inspection of the goggles and noticed that the eyebrow thing(for lack of better words) that plugs into the top mold is off, it was laying in the bag. I think it is glued in, but no signs of it, and there is a lip on the bottom of the piece that gets pushed into the goggle frame, but nothing to hook it to. I should be able to get by I can glue them or something, not sure what warrenty does on it, but it's minor, just want it fixed. any ideas? Tom you out there? No rush if you are riding, understandable, just would like to know sometime...

The trim piece isn't glued. There is a small tab and it snaps into the goggle frame. The tolerance is very tight, so it takes some muscle to snap it in place. No worry, it won't break and the frame will flex enough to allow it to snap into place. Sounds like the factory didnt get it all the way snapped in.

And if for some reason it won't snap into place, there may be a slight variation in the trim piece, in which case I can ship a new one for you to try.

How do these goggles fit over glasses?

Are you guys going to have a line of over the glasses goggles in the future?

Thanks Tom for the info on the front top tab. I cannot get the lense to stay in the frame---even with alot of muscle.

What is the solution?

Bob
