5 known 09 D8's Running 8050 rpm

Would that dealer now be located in Monroe?

No. Kenmore.......And i walk in last Wednesday i think it was the day after the new remap came out and i had to ask them to look it up and WOW it was there..For as much business my dad and friends deal with them you would think a dealer like that could be more on top of things and more friendly when a 19 year old kid comes in and buys a D8 and is having problems. There good at times but man they can try a little harder for some people.

Same with mine with about 8k on a pull but I did not noticed that the wrench had disconnected the ethanol wire and I was running in "Rich Mode" I connected the wires but did not have a chance to try it since.
FBF.

FBF.

Should be about 4% leaner with it pluged in. Very noticeable diffrence.

Ouch! WTF Polaris, it's bad enough we have to deal with the fuel delivery issue and now crankshafts? Hopefully it's isolated cases, Polaris had enough trouble with cranks on the old 800 twin.

Good news is that polaris is putting a complete 2010 longblock in my sled. Not sure if its any better but we"ll see.

my 09 stock d8 pulls 8000 8050 climbing, according to dtr tests peak hp is at 8000 to 8100 rpm, why would you want to rev higher than that?

what a dyno sees isnt what you see out on the hill..such things as intake air temp and exhaust pipe temp really change on the hill performance....I run mine from 8350 to 8450...only way you can know is to do real testing on the hill..others run theirs up higher as well..maybe some will chime in on the on hill performance differences....

makes sense, what do you guys recomend for clutching then, i got a pcV coming, Also thinking of gearing down. thanks

So get this! My dealer was telling me how they took out 2 2010 dragon 800 for testing. Sled #1 800 163 w/ 62 gram BB weights and otherwise stock clutching. Sled # 2 800 155 w/ 58/38 helix otherwise stock clutching. Both have been geared down to 19-45. They could not pull above 8000 RPM's with either setup. They dropped weights and found no change in RPM. They then dropped in 10-64's in each sled. As I understand the story, this made the sleds RPM's raise to 8300-8400. They said they flat out ripped with this setup. Sled #2 had the skis in the air all day long after that. They then threw an SLP single on sled #2 and said it was even more impressive. They were even thinking about trying 10-66's just to see how they performed. I realize that with lower gearing you can run heavier weights, but it doesn't make any sense when you apply logic to this. Has anyone else tried throwing MORE weight at the primary? I'm curious to ride my twin piper this weekend with the 62 bellybusters and see where my R's are. I put in 10-60's last time just to maintain my r's with my break in tank, sounds like I wasted my time. FYI, testing was performed at 7000 ft on a 25-30 degree day

What are your clutching specs? Does it hold 8200rpms on deep long climbs too?

62.5 g lighting weights w/ tips drilled out to 7/32 (last two), SLP light blue/pink(140,340) with team black/white (160/260). Stock gearing. Before drilling out the tips it was right at 8100. With tips drilled it is around 8350-8300 with a load on it and on climbs etc...track speed went up with RPM but I don't really remember what is was, been about 10-12 days or since the last storm came through.....:D
