2023 RMK

Not really worried about the price increase. It's going to be an expensive year for me getting back into it and having to buy all new stuff. Figuring about $60k all together for sled, accessories, tools, Enclosed trailer, klim apparel for me and the wife etc. What's a couple more grand. The govt will print more money. I'm more worried about interest rates by the time my sled and trailer get here and it's time to finance. That's the thing that will slap you in the face unexpectedly.
If ur buying new(non-turbos), $40k will get u 2 snowmobiles and gear. $20k may not be enough to get the trailer. Some trailers are $60k+.

Yup. I'm buying my midlife crisis, turbo. I've been out 15yrs so I gotta buy it all back. Avalanche gear, boots, helmet, gloves, bags, 16ft enclosed probably Triton, clutch maintenance, lift the works. Buy the wife her own probably next season...maybe.

If u haven't ridden in 15yrs, ur in for one hell of a surprise!
The Matryx is definitely the best all-around backcountry sled. I like it better than the Alpha; however, The Alpha will still beat it in the deep. No track is equal to the traction of the Alpha.

Non-turbos obviously, as that's the only fair stock comparison.

I'm hoping so. I grew up ditch banging late 60's early 70's Ski-Roules back through the 70' & 80's. Got back from military service in the mid 90's and had no interest in freezing my ass off on a rough riding SOB until I rode my brothers ZR580 and saw the light. Immediately had to go buy one. Moved west shortly after, Rode and raced for 12 years. Racing kind of ruined it for me. Very little ride time and spent every weekend staring out the windshield for hours running on little sleep, Ride a couple minutes, wrecked a couple sleds, wrenching during the week to repair or tweak the sleds. Friends envied that we were going racing while they were going boon docking, I would have rather gone riding. Loved talking to a lot of guys on the circuit. Didn't matter for brand with the racers. Guys like Brett Rasmussen who had a part I needed and no place in the country had it, shows up at my trailer with the part...no charge. Then Rick Ward was always like an uncle, giving great advice and just a cool guy call in the middle of week to check on you and talk about races to enter, how are your sleds, need anything? Sad to see him pass away shortly after I got out. Snowmobiling just wasn't fun anymore though. Recently reunited with a few riding friends that we are all getting back into it to go do the dumb stuff we used to do that made riding fun. 850 with the hair dryer should bring enough fun back. Hoping it will give me that excitement I had of getting on that ZR for the first time.

You might think about an 18' trailer instead of a 16'. I have a 14'+4' V which allows 3 full length sleds (loaded from the front), where you can't do that with a 16'er. Never know when you want to drag a spare sled along.

Good point. I was only really thinking one or two sleds just thinking of me and maybe the wife. Also trying to keep the trailer weight down so looking at all Alum. Company I work for has always provided me my primary vehicle, pays for all the maintenance and fuel and we had full size pickups so I sold my outfit since I never drove it. Now they down graded to Ford Escapes that can hardly pull their own weight let alone a trailer. So hoping to get a couple rental houses purchased soon and then I'll buy a full size pickup again if the market isn't insane. In the meantime wife Caddy XT5 400V6 will be the pulling vehicle. It'll pull 3500lbs without breaking a sweat but I'm still hesitant with the type off tires on that vehicle are not ideal for pulling a sail. But looking at Tritons Low boy enclosed it only adds 150lbs for the extra length in the 8ft wide category. While weight of a third sled may not be possible for me to pull now. future planning. I like it. Thanks.

Friend did a couple heat cycles on his today so we did some tire kicking. Looks like those rubber plugs where the ski shock bolts to the sled are for iQS? We originally thought it was for mechanic access but it really doesn't give direct access to anything.

My hunch is the 900 will come in something like a 'burandt edition'. It'll be bundled with iQS.

They could also put the 155 in a 145 slash tunnel and a 165 in the 155 tunnel. I doubt they'll go that far but could be a good way to raise the price without raising cost.

I imagine it will be priced equal to or, more than likely, more than a Boost. The shocks are $4k after market. Couple that with a special edition and they can really drive the price up without raising customer's eyebrows.

900 will trickle into the line up in future years and eventually replace the 850 NA, and 900 Boost towards the end.

I doubt iQS will ever come on a stock mountain sled. It's just too expensive ($4k) to be spec'd on an OEM build.

There are a lot of other lightweight 'Burandt edition' type mods that save weight and improve performance that would very likely come sooner on special builds.

When u say IQS, do u mean Fox shocks that are electronically controlled by a switch on the handlebars?

Cat calls it iACT.
Been out for a few yrs now.

I imagine it would be closer to $3k but yes it's far too rich for my taste. $16ish is all I can swing on a sled without the feeling of guilt in the back of my head. But I also feel like I'm just about the only person without a burandt/zbroz edition trailer at the trailhead and the only guy without a factory turbo on my sled. Maybe it's just where I ride but it feels like they haven't quite hit the price ceiling. If I was Polaris I'd be feasting on the fanboys dropping whatever it costs to have bragging rights.

I hope I am wrong tho. Totally agree that it's getting a bit absurd. I blame the SXS market for paving the way.

Good point on Cat. They also run the $3k QS3 on the mountain models. Maybe the OEM price makes it do-able

Please no iqs I’ve had zbros and fox burandt coils. I thought the lockout feature would be cool to climb hills but when locked out the sled was un rideable to climb anything other then a perfectly smooth hill any bumps and you would just get bucked off.

20000 for an na get ready it’s coming and here. Not any more than 15000 5 years ago just a number. want the lastet and greatet pay to play. The boost will be 25000. Hell hi end trucks are 100000 trailers 60 to 90 thousand why because they can it’s only money.

Govt will print more. Don't worry. We'll be pushing wheel barrels full of Cash like Venezuela soon. Paying stuff off will be cheap. Buying new stuff might be a different animal.

I'm surprised no leaked pics yet of any manufacturers sleds. I haven't even seen pre release race sled yet from anyone.

I'll take two please. Still $500 deposit?
Get a 20' trailer, it's what I've got, and I wouldn't get anything less. 16' wall and 4' V, cabinet in the V, front and rear ramps, and it's cramped with 2 - 155" sleds. It's also 6" taller for side x sides, and over the tires, so full 8' width, and still cramped.
