Rear track and front track shocks on ALL 800/850 AXYS ProRMK's are the same length as other AXYS sleds (2016/17/18)

The IFS shocks (ski shocks) are a little shorter on the new front suspension on ALL 2019 ProRMK's (800's and 850's).
They did not say how much shorter though.

The measurement will soon be available... and I'd bet that your current shocks can be shimmed to take up the difference... we've been doing that with the narrow front suspensions for years on the ProRide and AXYS mountain sleds for years.

Polaris is having a chat with engineers on the new 850 at 7PM Central time. You can ask questions and get answers on the new motor.

I hope you all got to do that.
I highly recommend you do that if they offer it again.

Seems the 155 2.6 was the preferred one before, is that still the case?
 
I got to ride the Patriot 850 RMK two weeks ago in West Yellowstone.

The throttle response, the bottom end front and the mid-range pull are fantastic. This motor does feel like a big bore.
This motor has been in development and on the snow for several years.
It's got torque. I believe it's only available on Snow Check.

The electronics are all sealed. That was a great move Polaris.

Adjustable stance. 36 to 38 in. But I believe it's only available on snowcheck.

They have a new rear end mount to the running boards that should not hold snow and it's got a more natural foot placement if you ever decide you want to put your feet back there.

Mod shops didn't build this sled 10 years ago that would produce handling results like this.

Are there any horsepower number available for the 850 yet?

I wonder this as well....I've always had 155s but with this new motor will it be too much of a handfull in the trees?

I'm not a burandt wannabe, but I have noticed he has been riding more 163" sleds. My last two have been 163" and more than likely never go back to a 155" jmho.

I was told "slightly" by polaris engineering.

Curious where the 1" figure came from (sincerely).

Even the 36" aftermarket fronts only required a shorter shock of 3/8"

The K-mod at the same 37" measurement did not require any shortening of the IFS shock to deliver the same ride height.

IMO an inch would seriously diminish the travel.

But I'll ask again :face-icon-small-hap

I currently have a SKS 155 2.6" and I think I will be switching up to a Pro with a 163 2.6". I had the SKS for the extra cooling but I now have a Switchback Assault that I use on the trail and power lines so I see no need to have the extra weight and will go with the Pro.
 
I've clarified this with Polaris directly... the belt drive they are referring to is the CLUTCH and NOT the quickdrive™ secondary drive.



Confirmed. The clutch drive belt is reported to be able to go thousands of miles. They even carefully suggested that this belt could last through the first owner of the sled.
