2019

Any word on whether there will be improvements to the existing 800 such as sealed wiring etc?

Im also really intressted in that. I saw there was a pro rmk with 800ho and the new front a-arms and spindles. Thats the machine i wont.
Anyone knows if the ski shocks will fit from earlier pro rmk?
4years warranty on that 800 pro rmk??

Reading through this thread taught me two things:

1. This sounds like one heck of a machine.

2. There are a lot of people on here that would complain about their water being too wet.

The main takeaways on this new sled are improvements made to increase reliability and consistency (which make an already good sled that much better). The bonus is increased power and better handling. If 7 hp or whatever separates your riding ability from your buddies, get better at riding.

So the new 850 is obviously heavier then the 800. With several new weight saving features on the new 850's, they still weigh in around 8 pounds heavier then the 800.

Base msrp is only $200 more than the 800 was last year, not bad. If you don't want anything fancy that's a heck of a deal

You can get needles on a pro now in snowcheck. That's new isn't it?

I noticed that as well. Last yr the SC Pro came with piggyback clicker shocks but they were not the better needle shocks like the Assaults came with. This yr it says the Pro gets the needles, nice little improvement if its true.

I rode them both within 24 hours of each other.

The Doo 850 power band comes on slower and then you feel it's strength in the mid range...more like a turbo spooling up.

The Polaris 850 has a much more instant throttle response. It's immediate.

There is nothing slow about the doo bottom end. It is instant. Better than anything to date. I don't doubt the 850 poo is awesome and will probably outclimb the doo but I do doubt this statement.
