2019?

The website shows the same, adjustable ski as the '16-'18, but this picture and the snowmobiles at the launch event all have non-adjustable skis that are slightly different. Notice the indentation at the spindle mount...

New generation of skis : PC7 G2 you can see it on specs sheet and on accessory book.

If you're just looking for anything to support a negative view of it, I'm sure there is a thread on slederzz that you'll find interesting. Otherwise go demo one sometime this spring and have fun and decide for yourself. Nobody has ridden one that isn't in some way paid to support it. You may get a somewhat fair assessment from the magazines, but it will no doubt be heavily sugar coated. Everything 'claimed' will be from Cat... 15 lbs lighter skid, Cat. Easy to sidehill, Cat. 437lbs, Cat. Revolutionary, Cat. Every talking point someone writes about, Cat. I hope to ride one in a week and a half if they're available to demo out west. I'll post up my review if I do.

I’m Not looking for a negative view at all! I’m looking for facts. A few of these “test riders” have been poking comments for weeks about just waiting for tonight to unveil the secret lives they’ve been living. Now, tonight is here and still just a bunch of secretive Mumbo jumbo. We all want facts!! Really haven’t seen to many of those. So where do you stand John? Just a push over cat guy that doesn’t care what cat does as long as they still call it a cat? Get real and come off your little green box. We all want to know what’s really happening. Stop trying to be the voice of cat when they don’t need one. They will be just fine and you’ll just look like a jack azz.

You must not read or understand well, or you are the type of person that just makes up an argument to put the other person down even if it holds no water. Where do I stand? (maybe just re-read my first post) or...like I said in my first post, the only info (they aren't facts, they're opinions on how it performs vs the old one) you are going to get today are from people who are in some way paid by Cat to support it. Other than the pure excitement of "new stuff", I have no idea if I'll like it or not, I'm going to withhold judgment until I ride the damn thing. That's not being a "push over cat guy" or "the voice of cat", that's telling you to shut up and go ride the damn thing if you want your facts, otherwise you're going to get a bunch of opinions from people paid to tell you how awesome it is. :face-icon-small-con:face-icon-small-dis

If that’s how how you “truly” want to be interpreted then just stop typing your opinions now until you actually ride one. You telling me to shut up about the questions I have for the guys THAT HAVE RODE IT when you have not, just makes you look like a “push over cat guy”. Now let the guys that have actually rode this “alpha cat” respond. I don’t want your bleed green banter.

Why does the Alpha have 11.7gallon gas tank and Mountain Cat have 12.5 gal?

Looking at the 150 class MC estimate dry weight is 15 lbs heavier 452. Sno Pro is 447 with a 11.7 tank. Alpha is 437.
