It’s my understanding that there was many different variations of the current 800 tested before they decided on the current version for production. A few of these variations where very impressive in the Hp department. I don’t think a new bore or stroke is necessary sounds like there is a real possibility of an 800HO that can more then compete with 850s. But I would be more concerned with dropping 40lbs then making 10 more hp. I’m going to turbo anyway.

It is a slightly different ski. Not sure what's all changed, but there are little grips on the top that were never there before, so maybe they made other minor changes.
