2019 sled being released next week.

Weight, weight, weight

I completely agree with @solby. My current AXYS has plenty of horsepower. I am all about weight savings. That is really where the FUN factor is in my opinion. Otherwise, I would go buy a sidewinder from Yammi. Weight is king when it comes to fun.

I'm guessing we'll see SOME changes for the Axys RMK for 2019....I just don't know what they would be. Highly doubt you'll see a full chassis revamp 3 years in. Heck, Doo went 9 years and Cat is on 7....the Pro went for 5.

The Axys isn't anymore of a change from the Pro than the Xp to the Xm was or the Proclimb to the Ascender is. So by your statement Poo is on year 8.

The Axys has a different bulkhead and tunnel(chassis) than the Pro. Cant say that about the ascender or the xm?

Haha
What are you smoking ?

Proride and axys chassis don’t share many hard parts........ at all

Xp and xm share the same chassis
Proclimb and ascender share the same chassis.

Help me out here? :)

That’s incorrect as stated above. 95% new parts from pro to axys, including the major chassis components. Not so for the others.

OEMs

ALL of the new sleds are pretty awesome; Yes, each has its pros & cons & rider preference/loyalty. It amazes me considering how small the overall market ($ in profit) is for snowmobiles compared to automobiles just how fast the sled manufactures bring new innovations/technology to market. Consider ourselves LUCKY!! I can't wait to see what happens over the next 5 years & what we're bitchin about then!?!?:face-icon-small-coo

Polaris and boondocker sure have gotten cozy :fish2:

How so?

There was a rumor that Polaris bought Boondocker.

I've been asking around.

People may have incorrectly made the leap to presume so.

Here is what happened...
Polaris bought Timbersled from Alan.
Alan left Timbersled and bought part of Boondocker.

Im not saying they bought them. I wouldn't be surprised if they do sometime in the near future. I am not going to go into a whole bunch of he said she said. In my opinion I see them being first to the market with a stock turbo 2 stroke sled. Honestly Polaris throws a lot in to the RMSHA game. And if they come with an 850 or what have you they won't be able to run it in the stock 800 class. Plus this AXYS motor runs so well on boost. This will also allow them to have the premium turbo sled and then a standard 800. Someone else has already put in all the work and testing into designing the turbo. Why retool everything again for a bigger motor. Again just my opinion. I see it running the same way as the side by side game. Reach the end off overall size and go to boost. Either way I am excited to see what they come up with. This is my favorite time of year as a Polaris salesman. Speculation is fun!!!

RMSHA changed the rules this past fall I believe it was. Changed the 800 class to 900.

If you go here and scroll down a little it talks about the change.

From a business and cost perspective, you have a really good point. I don't think that's my guess for what's going to happen....but there is some solid logic in there. Polaris likes acquisitions ....just buy up one of the current turbo manufacturers (who already make exactly what you need and have sales stats, etc), and away you go. Going to guess the EPA and noise regs are the issue...but that doesn't sound like a huge barrier....just ad money and should be able to solve that.

I completely agree with everything you said.

In addition, did you see that RMSHA doesn't have an 800 class for this year?

Back to the original topic, this release is happening at the next stop of the ISOC tour. Snox racing and has a very large youth presence, expect it to be a machine relative to it and possibly that Polaris does not have a machine for the new "200" class.

“Passion that lasts a lifetime”. “#family”

Uhh. Yep. It’s gunna be a kids sled.

I guess “ a lifetime” and “family” could
Also mean a snowmobile for senior citizens too.?

Indy Lite!! Indy Lite!!

Oh please please please be the return of the Indy Lite!! Anything that is between a Snoscoot and an Indy 550. My greatest fear right now actually based on the comments of MrIQR is that they are going to release something just equivalent to the Snocoot. Noooooo!!!!! That already exists!! We need the next size up now!!! Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either way the suspense is killing me and I can't wait until we all find out tomorrow.
