I wanted to order a custom 2018.
But my truck is telling me it can't wait any longer.
So it looks like I have going to be forced into a 2017 after all.

2017s are pretty nice as well. I just picked up an F150. What does the 2018 have that the 2017s don't? 10 speed?

Excited to see what the new mirage will be and it will look great behind a 2017 or 2018 Superduty.... :face-icon-small-hap

My V10 Engine is dieing on me, and its not safe to pull a trailer.
So I am between a rock and a hardplace.

I absolutely must have a functioning truck.

I thought you were having some work done to it? Or did you decide that the money would be better placed into a new rig?

While the cost is high I'm sure the first time you pull the trailer with the new truck you will feel better about the situation. LOL

Forgive me for not reading the entire thread.

But this post Interests me.

How many miles on the V10?

What oil you run and at what change intervals?

230K
Mobile 1 pure synthetic ever 10K miles for its entire life.

Failure is on the Hydraulic Timing Chain Synchronizers which apparently are known to be the primary failure point on that engine.

Sorry to hear that. I haven't heard about that problem, but I've never dug too far into one. My '02 V-10 I had until last year was a great truck for the 7 yrs I owned it, a few minor issues, but nothing major. When I traded it off at 175K it was still running great, I was just ready to move on.

I realize you're going to be getting a newer generation than my 2012, but either way you are going to LOVE the 6.7L :face-icon-small-hap
