2016/17 Togwotee Snow Conditions

Now calling for temps of 40° and rain.
There is a lowland flood warning.

Snow has been fantastic Monday through today. I don't think it has stopped snowing since we got here. We're here through Friday. Supposed to be a little warm tomorrow but there is more snow in the forecast.....

Avalanche closures of all the roads coming from the west.
80mph winds in Jackson yesterday.
Power is out.
Rain at 8000'.
Black ice.
Low area flood warnings for Moran.

Sheesh.

Glad I canceled.

Yeh, tog. Tough day today. Deep, heavy, and wet snow with lots of stucks in our group. Still a fun day though. Drenched from head to toe on the way back to the lodge. Calling for another 5-8 tonight....

Did it rain ? Buddies in west said it rained all day

VERY high Avy warnings. Sledder died today in Alpine. Warm temps and rain with all this new snow is a HUGE problem.

Its not worth it!

don't park there . . . .

We rode for about three hours at Tog today and found plenty of NOT WET HEAVY SNOW! There is no shortage of good snow to be found on the mountain if you do a little hunting

Here now. Advice is wait for more snow. Everything is heavily tracked up and what isn't tracked is really setting up quick.

We struggled to find anything decent today deep in the trees.

Spoke to another group and they were calling it quits after today. We were going to ride through Friday, but will probably pull out of town Tomorrow, if we even ride tomorrow.
