I have rode several times this year and was getting a DET 7 code on wide open pulls lasting longer than 5 or more, it did this maybe 4 times where it sent it into limp mode. I didnt think this was going to be a serious problem because it was still hitting 8200 and pulling hard. However i brought it in because the problem obviously needed to be adressed. I live 50 miles from the dealer so i called them to ask what the code i was getting was, they told me it was high/low voltage to an injector. Well apparently i had low engine compression in the mag side cylinder, and damaged crank bearings. They have been handeling my warranty claim HORRIBLY. It is still unclear to me why i was getting this engine code and why this caused my engine to fail. Does anyone know anything about the DET 7 code? The sled has 1400 miles on it, i thought i was pretty easy on it, as i was scared to hold it wide open for too long with the qd belt. Pretty disappointing, my m8 made it 4k with no problems....

My 13 RMK Assault motor just went also. Brought it in and the dealer said its toast. Only had 700km on it. Seems like almost the same problem as you. I didnt get any codes tho, sled was just warming up and then it went. So far my dealer is doing everything right.
I would have dealt with it the very 1st time I got this code and not ridden it until I knew what it meant. Not sure it would have saved the motor, but you have to at least get it checked.

Wish I read this today, had some one else riding my sled on a slow easy ride on the trail today. And hit that code. Think she's toast.

Ya it was a little harsh, but I would have figured out what the code meant before I rode it again. But in any case it sucks!

yeah pretty harsh man, feelin pretty down without my sled...i had gotten a code similar to that on my m8 and the dealer told me it was bad gas. first time it happend on the pro went strait home, looked up det 7 in the google, thats what i found, apparently not the case though.
