2013/14 Togwotee Snow Conditions

From all the weather reports I've looked at it looks like they are going to get dumped on. I'd be heading there myself but I'm already committed to a trip a week later.

Snow is deeeep everywhere we went. Just spent last 3 days up there snowed all day everyday. Sorry I was having so much fun forgot to take any pics but it's awesome everywhere first 2 days we went to same areas and our tracks were completely gone from day before. Visibility was terrible though

Is it worth leaving tomorrow night and riding this weekend? Never been there normally go to cooke city

Yup for sure! 4-5 feet everywhere! Not sure what Cooke has for snow, but we couldn't even get back to spots we go every year! Crazy fun, tough to see with the heavy snow! Wish we would've had a few bluebird days but the pas has been solid snow since we got here Monday! Not many people here either! Weird!

is getting to jules bowl easy enough for a first timer? im taking my girlfriend out and wanted to show her some of the cool spots instead of just the meadows. Thanks.

Lots of new snow covering old tracks fast. 15-20 min of sun yesterday.
It is DEEP , first timer will no doubt get frustrated ( you as well ? )
You won't have to go far to have a blast! Go have fun.!!

Any Pictures? Planning to leave for the Snowies on Thursday evening but the snow conditions don't sound the best and the forecast looks very good for the Togwotee area.

Thanks Kyle

Was just at tog last weekend and it is very good riding when I left on Sunday. Sunday was over the hood once we got a little SE from the lodge. I would bet 100 bucks it is better than the snowies right now from what I have heard. Calling for snow up at tog all week too.

We are at snowies right now. Rode the last 3 days and have not found any powder and we've been deep in the trees. Having major regrets we didn't go to togwotee. Especially since I've looked at the last few posts on here. My suggestion to u is go to tog. We came from mn too its only an extra 2 hours difference between snowies and tog. If you are looking for powder u will be disappointed at snowies. Supposed to snow wed but only 3-6 inches.

We are at lava mountain lodge in Togwatee. Powder is amazing and is easy to find. Drive the 2 hours. Best snow we had had in 5 years and more on the way.

What an amazing weekend. We got to togwotee on Friday and rode till Monday. Snow was very good. Just like always the visibility was rough on all days except Monday. Thank you to the 5 guys that helped us out of a bad situation. You have to love this sport and the way that most people will go out of their way to help out complete strangers. I even got to help Christopher out with our Bungee!!

That wasn't you that we got out of the steep ravine on Saturday afternoon was it?

Anyone know what happened on Saturday night? Headed down to Dubois for the night there was a load of Search and Rescue, Highway Patrol, Ambulance, Firetrucks just past Brooks Lake Parking?
