Pretty good snow today too. Plenty of untracked snow to be had. Looks like all the common areas are getting tracked but had no problem finding untracked areas. Found at least 4 untracked lakes today. Didn't snow much today so this storm may not pan out.

Pow. Just stay off the south faces for the best snow. Better get after it though, forecast is heating up this week

Gonna be mashed taters after about Tuesday looks like. Forecast says upper 40's mid-week.

Anybody go up this weekend??

Im looking at taking off to the Snowies for Easter anybody go over the weekend??

Thom

Rode yesterday. Forecast sounded good for snow, but it snowed all of 3" (maybe up to 5" for the whole storm?). It was fun but not great snow. Some pockets were still fairly soft in the old snow, but a lot of hills got baked last week. Here's a pic of my failed pivot turn out, sled came over backwards as I bailed. There's tons of snow, it's just set up right now. Next weekend will probably be spring slush riding (forecast looks warm).

Thanks. A buddy of mine that used to go there all the time moved to Michigan a few years back and he is taking his nephews to the Snowies this weekend and was asking about the huts and markers. He'll be fine without the markers, said he would not venture far from the main range.

Spring riding at its finest. Found some nice soft stuff on the back side.

Wyorever, who launched the sled off the top saturday and did not stick the landing? It looked painfull from the bottom. That XRS was all inspiring going up the mountain there. I had the kids on the Black Dragons, along with the King Cat, powder special and the white dragon.

It looks like a spring storm might be rolling in. What are the conditons like up top? Hate to drive 12 hrs and its rock hard ice.

Thanks man!

I didn't see it, but he was in a pickle when I got there lol. That was Ryan, a guy I met at the beginning of the day from Wisconsin. He bought that PRO on the way out here and you could tell he wasn't quite comfortable on it yet. on the hill I posted a picture of he fell off towards the top and some how caught the sled before it tumbled down into the trees, lucky catch!

I should have some video from that day up in a couple days, I had one made but I unplugged the camera before I saved it :frusty:

We were on the road and could see it all, he "Launched" at an angle, then bounced, and got bucked off, we could see the sled rolling, he was verry lucky. You made the climb look easy, awsome "Launch" at he top!!

Thom
