2012 switchback assult 800

had the sled out this weekend, feels like you really gotta give it some to get the sled to move in the pow when in the trees, almost feels like your giving it to much, i was gunna get some more miles on the sled before i start messing with it, but what are the angles for the rmk helix? also should i gear it down some?

The SBA has more agressive initial helix angle than RMK, 64 versus 56 degress IIRC so it will try to upshift faster off the get-go. From looking at the Poo parts diagrams it seems the mountain sleds get the 56 helix and the trails sleds use 64. With the SBA being "in-between" with short or deep lug track options it seems to me Poo defaulted to the trail helix. Haven't had mine out yet, first ride this weekend and I'll run it with the stock helix but the stiffer Blk/Pur secondary. If it feels sluggish I'll probably buy the RMK helix or split the difference and get a 60 initial angle. The finish angles are same with RMK or SBA helix just initial angle is different FWIW.

Mines Modified.... 2012 Switchback Assualt 800 144" track with 2" paddle. (3rd ride i broke my chain tensioner because of a stretched chain) Had to change small and big Gears to compensate for slack in the chain... seems to be fine now and it was fixed on warranty by Polaris.

I now have a Silber Turbo installed on this sled, currently trying to figure out the tuning. Not having much luck right now.... Anyone out there have tuning tips for this set up ????
