2011/12 Snowy Range snow conditions

Rode this weekend as well...There is enough snow to scratch the itch but looks alot like about a month behind schedule for amount of snow. You can find snow bumper deep but you tip toe through it as lots of land mines. I will post some pics of some popular areas so you can see for yourself.

T 30mg, pretty impressive line-up of sleds that you and your extended family have there, are you guys ditch bangers from Wapelo Iowa ???:face-icon-small-sho

Well I once noticed a dude from Iowa listed all his relatives sleds in his sig and I thought it was funny, so I posted as much. That darn near got me in a keyboard fist fight.:help:

Then I noticed that practically no one that lives in the mountains list their sleds and all their dorky little upgrades in their sigs:kev:

So, I figured I better try to stay with my flock of flat-landers, and built a sig that I thought should place me somewhere in the mid-west.

You guessed Iowa, I couldn't be happier:becky:

But now, time to get :focus: Looking like some snow in the forecast!

I'm a total noob to Wyoming, my buddies go there each year over new years and stay at 10 mile Inn, looks like I may be joining them this year. Any idea on how it is around that area? Has to be better than anything us flatlanders have in the Upper Midwest! Thanks guys!

Yes it is.

There were rocks all over in those tracks. I would NOT advise climbing that hill last week unless you are lucky in Vegas.

When we were climbing that hill we only uncovered 1 rock there, but there were no tracks on it when we got to it. Maybe it settled more since we were there the 9th. That was the better of the two untouched hills we climbed back on the 9th. It seemed like everywhere else we had to take it easy and we were still bumping off rocks. We were pretty happy with the conditions on that hill compared to some of the other climbing areas we had been too the day before. The nice part was we had two beautiful days, around 20 degrees, little bit of sun, and NO wind. Good news is they are finally calling for some new snow.
