2011/12 Snowy Range snow conditions

Drove home from Saratoga this afternoon. Wouldn't be surprised if 130 closes tonight. The following pics are of 10 Mile Inn, and Lake Marie area. Snow on the road tapered off near SML as we drove into town. Predicting 4-9 here in town, we'll see what happens...

As much as I hate to see our very short summer and fall season come to an end, it's time to think snow!!!

Looks good, will be out in Feb.

Thats a wonderful sight. Time to get all of this fertilizer on the ground so we can get out there.:face-icon-small-ton

Looks like about a foot up top. POWDA! Glad to see you back Dan, and yes you still suck:)

Thanks for the update and the pictures. The second picture shows where some douche sniff last year hacked that tree down and had a camp fire. What a *&^$#(!

Can't wait for the Karmic Snowplow to come by and hit those who are responsible.

....just sayin'

Hwy 130 is still open. Someone go drive up there after work and see how much they got. :face-icon-small-hap

Just a little FYI...

Highway 130 is still open, but the plow driver told me last week that after the 1st they would not be making any major effort to keep the road open. My guess is that as soon as the wind starts blowing and drifts start forming, they will stop plowing.

We got our snowmobile permits this week, so I guess the season is officially open!

Can't wait to see all of you!

We went up there today from the west side and the snow
Level is anywhere from 0"-7" at best. We did find a meadow
Where we got to clutch the new pros with a stage 3 and
A stage 4. Slp kits. We rode for about an hour. I am hoping
That we get some more by Sunday and go try the sand lake
Area.

The wife and I just drove over the top from laramie.

Two wrecks (one roll over no injuries, and another who blew a corner smoked the gaurd rail, dropped off the road above green rock and received a tug back on the road from my lil FJ.)

There was 2" on the road at green rock and 1/2" at headquarters park. Several sled tracks at lake Marie and above silver lake.

I doubt there is more than 10"-15" in most spots :face-icon-small-fro.

Any predictions for how the Snowies will look around Thanksgiving time? We're looking for somewhere to ride from Nov. 23-27, and right now Wolf Creek Pass in SoCo sounds like our best bet but we'd rather not drive 12 hours down there from north-central NE.
