2011/12 Alpine, WY Snow Conditions from Rockin M Ranch

The mountainns were socked in from Wednesday to Friday. We picked up about 3 inches in the valley and reports from snowmobilers were about 6-8 inches up top. This morning (Saturday) we woke up to 4-5" (dry snow) here at the cabins. I would expect over a foot up high over that last few days.

We have had 3 or 4 warm days. Definetely going to be spring like conditions until the weekend. The forecast is for cooler weather and possibly a fair bit of snow over the weekend. In the big picture, we are still in great shape, especially compared to the rest of the western riding areas. We still have a solid 2 feet of base here in the valley. The Snake river region is at 90-100% of average snowpack. Most snotel sites are showing 60-90 inches over 8000feet. I will report after the weekend.

Any word on snow contitions,, we were thinking of heading that way after the hillclimbs, just curious if its worth bringing sleds, thanks
