2010

I've never seen orange on a doo before, kinda thought it was a AC color, maybe they think it will help compete with AC:D I would like to see direct injection run by mass airflow, O2, noc, air temp, and heat sensors more like a todays cars. theres massive amounts of technology in these sleds but the fueling is kinda slapped together. At least direct injection and a noc sensor on a m1000 would be nice.

X2 on the knock sensor. They had time to put it in the m8 but not the m1000. What they at AC dont believe in the M1000?

I heard that was Boondocker and Burant's little backcountry adventure. Not necessarily something that AC factory was on board with yet.

The boondocker RTR turbo has nothing to do with AC inc. It is a program between boondocker and independent AC dealers. You don't need to wait until 2010 to get one, in fact you could order one today and have it in 3 weeks. If your dealer opts to give you a warranty, it will be in-house, meaning at the dealers expense. If you take it out and squeek a piston at 2 miles, don't expect AC inc to honor the warranty.

As far as 2010 sleds???? The sales reps don't know yet, and neither does anybody on this snowest forum.

Just more refinements please

M series is a good sled

That's what they are doing. More refinments and more shock options. No new chasis nothing. Just making the m even better. Atleast that's what my crystal ball says ;)

I also think they need to ditch the stock airbox and lose the 7lbs, and upgrade the venting capabilities, the m1000's have been melting stuff since they came out and still no change. The actual cost of a m1000 is $500 more than what you payed just to correct little problems that AC could have very easily fixed.

Hey Catfreak I was not cutting down artic cat I think that they make a great sled I was just simply stating what I had heard and the sources that told me are ones that I believe have pretty good info. I heard things may come to a halt around the end of Feb.

I am pretty sure we are going to see the same chassis style on most all vehicles- cars, trucks, boats, bikes, sleds- you name it- it is a major expense to re-engineer production lines. My local dealer says they should be like Harley Davidson did back in the day. Just put new graphics/color schemes along with different track/shock packages. Thank goodness the M is great sled so it can make sledding enjoyable now and when the times are good again.:beer;

2010- series

Suzuki is going to drop the Hyabosa engine into a modified M skid:) That would be heavy but cool!

check out the 500HP+ twin turbo Hayabosa bike on youtube! pulling wheelies over 250Km/h.

lets get this rumor going:)

2010 M sled!!!!!!!

NO but this is a really sick sled would love it cat did this for 2010 with a 1000 turbo in it.

Seems like bringing out the 4-stroke turbo mountain twin spar would be easy enough for them to bring on board in addition to keeping the M chassis. You know they must already have some. Kind of like when they kept the King Cat and the M7 the same year.

Just a guess.

I would look for cat to drop the 2 stroke 1000 for the 4 stroke. There are some Z1's being transformed as we speak.....

mountain tamer...... that is a nice lookin sled, I would be all over that!! Come on arctic cat......you listening!!

please god no 4 stroke mt. sled, we don't need a boat anchor!!! if i want to sled with an extra 100 pounds i'll bring my dog along:)

4 stoke is going to be a thing of the past, Why stoke it 4 times when you can get it done in 2 with a lot less effort.:D

I'm hoping they put GOOD SHOCK in the middle. That silly stick is attached into every american/canadian sled and it's absolutely useless. Why not to put longer shock as there's lot of room for it?

Otherwise I hope they redo the F-series. Maybe based on SnoPro? That fat tank is too heavy for harder riding style.

M-series is really good sled so it still may sell good another year? The -09 is superb!

I have one suggestion in my mind about the steering post of M series: Optional over the engine -style steering post. This might be good way to catch some Summit riders to M riders :) Here in Finland the steering post seems to be the biggest disadvantage for Ski-Diy dudes to no join the Cat army... It just feels so much different than BRP they've used to. So if Cat could offer optional SnoPro racer style post to M it would be nice. I feel comfy with stock post but some doesn't.

how about a little beefier post. The cast aluminum post on my 09 xfire is already bent. A healthy, but not a heavy bump into it with my 235lb self, an i have a nice 10-15* bend in her. Taking a look at the walls, they are no more than .080 to .100 think.

All i want to see are DFI engines. hmmmmm, not like the POO one though. Take your time on tuning it in right though CAT.

cant see that engine being all that much heavier then the 1000 twin?? maybe another 30lbs??? but almost 180hp and capable of 230 on pump...without changing pistons and reeds every 1200miles... thats a sled for me... just please offer to tracks!!
